I bought this knife for a coworker so he could have his own knife (I work at a restaurant). As a line cook having a good knife is critical. This knife turned out to be a great buy and I often recommend this very knife to people. It came very sharp and retains its edge very well. It is easy to touch up and sharpen. It is the most comfortable knife I have held so far, which is an important aspect of this knife. My other knives are great but after awhile of slicing, or chopping my wrists start to ache, however this knife doesn't cause me to ache after extensive knife work. As a line cook I will vouch for this knife.

I ordered this because I moved and hadn't found my knife roll yet. It's a bit lighter that what I'm used to, but that isn't a problem, especially if you don't prefer stamped knives. It looks great, with sleek packaging, and made it through two weekly prep sessions while staying sharp (which is good, because my steel is in my knife roll :/ )The blade depth is a bit shallow for chopping herbs, but not shallow enough that I bang my knuckles. It handles well with a wet grip, and cleans easily. I haven't had to hone/sharpen it yet, so we'll see how that goes once I get around to it.Right now, it's a great replacement knife, and I'd recommend it to anybody looking for an inexpensive starter.

All I can say is they're as sharp as the emergency room is expensive

I bought this as a gift for my daughter as she likes to cook a lot in her apartment, but didn't have a decent chef knife. Out the box she loved the design/look of the knife. In the kitchen she said it works great and feels secure in her hands. She's happy and I'm happy. Pretty good knife for the price.

Comes in a wonderfully well-presented box and was much better than I expected for the price! Slices right through tomato, leaving very little juice behind thanks to its sharpness. Very lightweight as well! Heard some complaints that the handle was hollow. So I feared it would be heavy on the knife end. Luckily that is not the case, as the material used is light ensuring that it's not going to feel like one side has too much weight. Will update this, if I run into any issues with it in the near future. But I am very impressed!

It's slipped out of my hand a couple of times, so be careful. It really wasn't any better than a couple of knives I already have. I think I'll find something a bit more costly and hope I'll get a better knife. I've had to sharpen it after every use.
