Worth it if you have the patience to install
Update almost 4 years later and still looks good. Previous review comments: I installed this for Audi Q5 2010. So after watching the video here from the seller, and compiling it with another video from youtube, which was in Spanish with English subtitles. The easiest way to get this in is to install it in position, then put the curtain cover into the shield and ends after you lock the ends down into each channel. Yes, put the cover into a place, then put the assemble around it with the headliner down; it is not as hard as you think as there are only two screws for the assembly. This will make sense after you watch the videos, and just don't put in the shield(cover) before hands make this nearly impossible to install without two people. Anyways after I figured this out, I can now do this in two hours in the future. However, after only about two months, I am noticing the sunshade's sagging. Remember, a stretch material needs to be the correct material. In this case, I think it will last year at this rate and may have to replace again, but maybe it will not stretch anymore. So will look for a better product next go around if required. It will do in a pinch but not sure about durability.

Waste of time!
Installed assembly correctly, doubled check everything. When tested for the first time the assembly sprung, came out of track and ruined sunshade. So frustrating to do the work and have it fail. Do not recommend!

2012 Jetta Sportwagen w/ Pano sunroof. Challenging, but doable. Seems to work well
I installed this into my 2012 VW Jetta Sportwagen, and it seems to be a quality product and a good fit. I bought my car used with the sunroof shade material removed, so I was a bit surprised how mesh-like or open the shade material cloth was. I would have liked to to purchase a similar one that was beige on the inside, and reflective radiant material on the top, but whatever. Over all I am content with the product. I was attending to a leaky sunroof when I replaced this, so I had the entire headliner removed, which I suppose was helpful. I am a reasonably skillful non professional mechanic, and I was able to follow the provided instructions paired with information from forums and correctly install it all on my first try. I found the initial insertion of the brass "clock-work" spring into its channel to be quite harrowing, but ultimately it was not hard, just tricky, and I was able to to it all by myself. Good luck!

This product works except they shipped me a used holder
I received the package and clearly it was a refurbished the bolt hole has scratches and the end plastic has a broken part (2nd to the last photo). I decided not to return it because my old part still works so I just swapped it. For DIYers, please take a picture of the assembled piece before taking it apart. The insertion of the metal strip to the plastic channel is the only hard part. Its very easy as long as all the plastics are put back together and aligned. Anything not done properly, it wont work. I did it alone and I did it with a lot of patience. Don’t rush it. Lastly, be careful of the metal holder. All of the sides are so sharp. I had 5 cuts in my finger doing this. I’m just showing you 2.

Doesn't work well
It worked great the first couple times. Then something happened and it wouldn't coil back up. It's garbage.

Holds Up Well
It was difficult to install because VW is way too overengineered but once installed, it works great and now I don't have a sunburnt head.

It works... But be careful before installing bracket onto sunroof shade
Make sure to pull that metal clip you'll be attaching to the the plastic clip, before attaching to the clothe, or you tear the new shade cover trying to pull the metal bit out to slide into the guide rail. SUGGESTION MANUFACTURER: Give us the metal clip and the plastic clip separately and let us install as one when we are ready. Dont have us attach the clip to the shade cover, then try to remove the metal clip from the plastic bracket... It can cause damage, and is not easy to get out.
