Especially for beams this wide. Timbor won't penetrate the substrate much and really its designed more for preventive applications; lumber treated before wood destroying organisms or decay fungi is identified can remain pest free when protected by Timbor. But once a current problem is discovered, you'll be better served using Boracare. Its designed to penetrate wood which is what you need. Boracare can soak in 3-4 inches from any side you treat so if you have full access, you can treat beams 6-8" wide. Now getting through a 12" beam will be a challenge and I'm not sure it can be done. But I'm confident 6" to 8" beams can be thoroughly protected. But to be sure, you may want to contact Nisus.
