I wondered if even a Borosilicate glass pitcher could have survived the travel because there was some movement in the Amazon box, but no problem! It was encased in a foam fitted box.This is exactly the size and shape I wanted to set on a rack on my wood stove. It’s about the same height as the one currently in use, but considerably more stout. It will not be required to boil water, just to get it hot, and with its broader base, that is happening more quickly.I like its stocky shape, the comfortable handle, and big opening. It was easy to get my hand inside to wash it.With all the comments about what it holds, I measured, filling it right to the top. Poured out 32 ounces/4 cups twice. So it holds 64 oz/8 cups (less than 2 litres), but again, that is to the very brim. It pours well and the lid is beautiful, too.I have high hopes that this will hold up as well as the current one has and also give me the greater quantity of hot water that I need for my herbal tea.

Not 2 litres (68 Ounces) or even close. After opening the package, it appeared that the size was considerably smaller than what I thought it was going to be. Filling the jug with water and measuring the amounts showed that you could only put 1.7 litres (60 Ounces) into it. This is false advertising, and I am very disappointed. When something is advertised to hold 2 litres of liquid it should be correct. 1000g = 1L.Contacted Amazon and they have noted that discrepancy and will be investigating this.
