I used it on my graduation cap and everyone that saw loved it!!!

The feathers are very soft, full and perfect for what I needed. There was a little bit of shedding/moulting...nothing more than I would expect from any brand new boa.

It was good for the purpose that I needed it, it sheds a little when you use it but it good.

When I began searching for a brown feather boa to use as hair on a nutcracker project, I was totally dumbfounded at how difficult it was to find one. My first search turned up only one, but days after I ordered it the ordered was cancelled because the item was no longer available. Search number two about 2 weeks later turned up two sites that offered the boa in brown at a most reasonable price. When the order came the color was perfect. Once out of the bag and given a good shake and wave in the air, it fluffed up nicely becoming even more fuzzy, fluffy, and flouncy. The boa was the advertised length, but the distribution of the feathers was inconsistent and uneven with some areas too thin to be useful to me. Since I only needed several short portions the thin spots were not problematic. The ends have cloth loops and the body cuts easily. Once glued onto the nutcrackers the funky hair was delightfully charming, and I could not have been more pleased. However, If one is using it to wear as a boa, I do not think this one would look particularly attractive, but for crafting purposes it could work. honestly wasn’t expecting much because of previous boa purchases on amazon but because of the price tag i was at least hoping for better which i somewhat got (again if compared to other boas i purchased on here).-biggest boa i’ve found when but boas are the gram to length ratio, this had 50 grams, higher compared to others, so i was expecting more fluff which i did get although there are spots that aren’t covered by the fluff that looks kinda weird, that’s not the biggest issue though because i doubt anyone around me will be analyzing it.-it’s delicate. honestly just picking it up or putting it on makes the feathers fall off very easily. would not suggest if you’re trying to make the boa last for a long time. if you take care of it though it seems like it’s usable for some time.-the rope feels thick on areas covered. best way i can describe it is probably that it feels like a cats tail. the rope itself is very frayed on the end and noticeably so on exposed areas.-i can’t lie to you, it’s very soft. however at least when i encountered this boa it was $18 which i would never have purchased had i not gotten the clip on discount which brought it to a little over $10. i can’t say it’s worth the money but if you’re tight on time and don’t need a lifelong boa it’ll hold up ok i think (i’ll let you know after the 31st).
