Perfect replacement
I was looking for this piece as a contact on mine had broken off and I didn't want to throw it away. This fixed that issue along with being an improvement with the magnets. Great part!

Really helps on those nights at the campgrounds. If not on the vehicle to look for something in the middle of the night then in the campground bathroom that have no lights

over priced, should have been included with original light
had to purchase seperatly from original light. one of the magnets fell out the first time I put it on a metal table.

Makes an awesome lantern better.
These little Siege lanterns are amazing, and these magnetic bases make them even better. Weight added is negligible and well worth the advantage.

Wish i'd noticed i could have bought the version of the Siege that had this included.
Really wanted this feature and mess up on ordering the orignial siege. really like the light though. Its so small you don't think it would be that usefull, however that seems to be its biggest assett. handly like a flash light but provides area light. which in many cases seems to be what you really need rather than just the spot from a flash light.
