By using the computer, a projection system, and a conference bridge not only could people in the conference room see the notes and annotations from the meeting, but so too could people who were connected remotely 100's of miles away. This seemed like the ideal solution for me. Unfortunately, a suspected incompatibility with other software on my laptop prevented me from completing the initial setup process.So, you may ask, if it didn't work for me, why on earth did I give this a 5 star rating? Because IPEVO's customer and technical support is absolutely outstanding! When I first ran into problems with the setup, I opened a trouble ticket on the IPEVO website. Shortly after, "Matt" wrote back with some suggestions and detailed instructions to overcome the problem. When that didn't fix matters, he contacted his engineering folks who ran various simulations and diagnostics in their lab trying to reproduce the problem. I received great advice and ideas for how to move forward, but in the end nothing worked. When it became clear that something on my computer was conflicting with their software, I just couldn't take the time to incrementally uninstall applications and drivers until the "bad actor" was found, so returned the system for a prompt refund.I just can't say enough about the excellent support I received from IPEVO (better in fact than some much more expensive gear I've purchased from other companies), and still think their portable whiteboard system is an amazing value for $149. My plan is to upgrade to Windows 10 in January, then buy the system again to see if I can make it work with all of the updated drivers. In the meantime, I'm certain this is a quality product with quality people backing it up. Based on my experience, don't hesitate to try it for your application. ### ⭐ Waste of money *by D***O on September 27, 2020* Very difficult to hook up. I can’t reach customer service. Useless product and customer service. It will not connect. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. YOU WOULD DO BETTER TO BITE THE BULLET AND BY A SMARTBOARD IF YOU JUST WANT OR NEED ONE THAT BAD. NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE. Amazon doesn't help. They can't even reach this vendor and I have to wait for a refund. I don't have that kind of time or money. I'm a teacher and need the product. If Amazon can't reach one of their own vendors and they will not respond to Amazon, what makes them think they will respond to me? This is a mess. Amazon should screen their vendors better than this. It's the customer that suffers and have to fight to get their money back. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A mini Smartboard without the Giant Cost *by S***A on December 5, 2017* Everything listed and then some is awesome. This is literally a SMARTBOARD without the giant cost. The projector is the only extra item you need with the laptop. It allows you to annotate, screen cap, record the whole 9 yards that smartnotebook lets you do.Cons: THE CALIBRATION IS SUCH A PAIN IN THE NECK!! There could be a hair in front of th lens and it wont read the pen in that section.However, this is an awesome product. Some takeaways: If you have your own classroom and you dont transition anywhere it is perfect.
