This thing is magic
I’m no tech expert beyond the basics, so I cannot get my head around how this works. But it does, and does so really, really well. We installed this in a rental condo that is on ANOTHER CONTINENT. Setup was a snap (make sure your router supports 2.5 mhz) and now I can change lock codes for each new guest and monitor entrances by user. This gadget even shows you the power level of your door lock’s batteries. Is it witchcraft? No idea, but it is an amazing tool and way worth the price to upgrade the functionality of your Sifely digital lock. One note: keep in mind that, if it gets unplugged, the gateway will stop working. Recommend putting it somewhere that’s unlikely to happen.

Works perfectly
We have the lock set for our rental property. This enables us to be able to tell when the rental checks in and out so we can reset the code remotely. Without it we would be have to store codes when we were there which was really inconvenient. This was great quality and easy to install. Great value for the money.

Good distance for connection
I use a single device to connect to 6 locks that are in proximity. Pair it to your WiFi and you are set up. You can have more than one of these connect to a single lock. I realized this as two gateways in adjacent floors would connect to the same lock, which is great as a failsafe.

It is good just get used to it.
Let me start with the few downsides. Because of the keypad you have to mount it on top. Is that a problem? ehhhh maybe for some. This is a front door kind of lock so it goes on $900-$4k doors. The frames have cut outs for the latch plates. The top one it usually the dead bolt which doesn't have the lip on the plate. To install the plate with the lip you have to cut a notch for it on top. That means the lower (now the dead bolt plate) has a cut out for the lip that the dead bolt doesn't have. I just colored the notch with a brown marker and it blends fine. I am happy with it, but some people will say "I spent 4 grand on a door and now it doesn't look perfect." In fairness we have just installed 5 exterior doors and 7 different locks. There was not one of them that did not require some customization to get the plates to fit.Problem two, every once in a while it thinks you are trying to lock the door when you try and use a fingerprint to open it. No idea why. Then you have to use a different method. I mean you have a key fob, a numeric code, wifi or blue tooth with your cell phone, as well as fingerprints or the emergency key. To use the wifi for remote opening you need to buy the optional gateway.Problem three, the fingerprint is not always reliable, or more accurately requires you to place your finger in almost the same orientation as you recorded it in. Usually it takes me 2 or 3 tries to get it. That means like 5 seconds longer to do it. And there are times when your hands are full and that is annoying. What isn’t annoying is that you can put in hundreds of fingerprints, I did four of mine, and you don't need to dig for your key. It is way faster that the numeric entry option. So it is very convenient, I can use what ever hand is free and sometimes the clean hand. So I love it.Problem 4, the key fob lanyard is a stretchy cord that I doubt will last.Problem 5, you can give out all kinds of numbers to friends, family, guest, etc. but it picks them at random, you can change them to your preference only after you have used the assigned number at the lock once.I think this is a pretty weak list of complaints. Not withstanding these few annoyances I love the lock.Things I like about it. It has the best damn instructions I have ever seen! Every set of parts is in a numbered bag linked to the step in the instructions. Every step that could be the least bit confusing has a QR code link to a video on that step. And the instructions are clear. This thing was a dream to install. All the parts were made to make assembly a breeze.Joy 2, I have mentioned the multiple ways to open it.Joy 3 if you have the gateway it sends you a list in the app of when the door is used, who and how.Joy 4 There is a security switch to lock it so there is no external opening except with the emergency key. Conversely it locks behind you and the door unlocked window settings only go to 6 minutes, zero if you opened from inside.Joy 5 you can program open times during the day from the app. That said fingerprint open is so easy having it lock after you walk out is not much of an inconvenience.Joy 6 it looks nice and talks to you.Joy 7 by far the best value, feature rich lock out there.Joy 8 it looks solid as a rock.Joy 9 setting up the finger prints has you read your fingerprint 3 times for each one. It was effortless.Highly recommended. I only marked it down because some people will find some of the challenges mentioned a concern.
