And 8 years later I'm just buying the next jar. It's almost perfect.Slightly moisten your fingers before dipping, and dampen your hair. Fingers first, then use a comb and it's greatI barely use any product, it's just to help everything stay roughly in place. It's a mild-medium hold. My hair doesn't feel greasy from use. I daresay my scalp health has deteriorated since I've been using an alternative.

I currently have my hair fairly long, almost to my shoulders but not quite. I've been trying to get that kind of grungy, rocker, slightly wet surfer hair look, think Jaime Lannister in the later seasons of Game of Thrones.This stuff does exactly that. It goes in easily, your fingers don't "catch" if you're applying it to dry hair, and once it's in, it creates the perfect amount of grungy rockstarness. You could easily headline a Nirvana cover band or convince people you spent the day at the beach.The only downsides is that it does leave your hair greasy feeling, but I don't think you can get that grunge look without some greasyness. Also it doesn't give a lot of hold, great for longer hair but not so much for short hair.If you have short hair or don't like that dirty look, I wouldn't recommend this product, but if you have longer hair or want to embrace your inner Jaime Lannister, it's perfect.

Bought this for my husband and son. My husband uses it daily, but for my son (who is 3), it is a little too shiny looking and makes his hair look dirty too quickly for my taste. It's very light, flexible hold, and just helps tame hair. It's not supposed to be a very shiny finish and definitely doesn't look greasy or stiff or wet like gel, I just don't love it in my son's hair. It works great for my husband who wears his very straight hair in a pretty natural style but needs it to look polished enough for work. Usually he also uses one of the Woody's other products (web or clay) to keep the front of his hair back and off his face, since this isn't strong enough hold for that.The con - I absolutely hate Woody's lids. The packaging looks nice, but these lids just don't fit the containers well and they're a pain to put on. Hate hate hate them.

I have wavy and curly hair. This product helps tame my hair. The hold lasts all day.

Amazing product, I will definitely be buying this again in the future. I holds the hair really well allowing it to be moldable throughout the day. It seems to give your hair more thickness and a soft stiff feeling. Looks completely natural however. It smells great too, not overly powerful but more of a subtle scent. You really don't need that much when you use it. Mine lasts me for several months.

I purchased Woody's Styling Cream for Men after my experience using a friend's. We were going to the casino, and I asked if I could borrow some to tame my hair. I have thick dark Italian hair, that can become stubborn and curl the longer it gets. I was pleasantly surprised at how firmly the cream held my hair in place, while requiring very little cream, and showing no sign that it was there. The cream held up all night and into the morning, and was easy to wash out in the shower. I then decided that styling cream was a necessary addition to my styling arsenal. I then researched alternatives, as there are some cheaper options on the market. After reading reviews on several similar products, I decided to pay a little extra and go for Woody's. Several weeks later, I do not regret my decision. My experience using Woody's for the past two weeks has been great, and I have not noticed any negative impact on the health of my hair.

This is not cream. It's more like a paste or a clay. If you have thick hair, the majority of it will stay where your hands first make contact with your hair, and you won't be able to spread it around. It's heavy and gross and made my hair feel unnatural and made my head itchy. I feel like I'll need a Silkwood Shower to get it all out.If you want an actual styling cream, I highly suggest Malin+Goetz or Fellow Barber, as these are actual creams. The former, especially, is outstanding, just super expensive.

I like Woody's products, and this is a decent cream, but more of a paste. Does not work well on my thick, full hair. Still trying to find right amount to use to avoid it feeling heavy and "formed". Kind of a "chemical" fragrance like many styling products, but not so much after application. This probably works well for shorter and thinner hair, will keep things neat, but I was looking for a less structured cream.

Bei kürzeren Haaren (bis max. 3cm) sehr gutes Wachs. Lässt sich auch nach Stunden noch nachstylen. Haare bleiben geschmeidig und der Duft ist auch gut (ist natürlich wie Parfüm bei jedem anders). Preis ist etwas hoch, jedoch durch die Ergiebigkeit für mich gerade noch im Rahmen.

My son has used Woody’s hair cream for a few years and wouldn’t use anything else. Recommended to him by a Hairdresser. It styles his thick short hair without leaving residue. Perfect.

Good Product

This product is a good mixture of control,hold & the distressed look.There are other products,especially in the Woody's range that offer stiff hair but not a lot of control or nice appearance.This is now my regular hair product & washes out great.Also,allow for 8 hours use,so great for work.

Awful tacky gloop that is more akin to contact adhesive than a beard/hair product. It's a shame because other products made by woodys are excellent.
