the outside diameter of Anti-Magnetic Cap is 19mm(0.75"). the outside diameter of magnet holder is 16mm(0.63"). the diameter of of magnet is 13mm(0.51").

Can it be used to pickup gemstones for crafting?

IF YOUR GEMSTONES ARE METAL THEN I WOULD THINK SO NOT ALUMINUM EITHER. WHAT EVER A MAGNET PICKS UP THIS TOOL WILL PICKUP, WITHIN A CERTAIN WEIGHT...WOULDN'T TRY TO LIFE A CAR WITH IT. :)
