This is the easiest bed frame/foundation that I've ever set up. Unfold, tighten a few wingnuts, and BAM. Had it for a few days now and it's holding up great! The rubber feet keep it from slipping around on my hardwood floor, and it's got enough clearance for laundry baskets or small tote boxes to be stored underneath. I'm a big dude at 295 lbs and this thing FEELS sturdy under my weight. No flexing, no wobbling, and it's quiet (even under more "aggressive" movement). One gripe would be that you can feel the frame if you have an inadequate mattress. My wife & I purchased this frame because our old Ikea foldout frame finally gave out. We decided to use the old Ikea 3" mattress for the time being, but that old frame had arched wooden slats and this foundation is solid metal. We can definitely feel the metal through the old mattress. You're definitely going to want something more substantial on top of this foundation (we're shooting for a 10"-12" mattress when the opportunity comes). Another gripe, that others have brought up as well, is that the top of the frame is not textured enough to keep the mattress from sliding around. You'll likely need to add something to the top of the frame to grip your mattress. I've heard of some using velcro or double-sided tape to fix the issue. My old Ikea mattress has straps that held it onto its original frame, and they ended up working just fine with this new foundation. So far, this frame is great! It's built well and there are no signs that it's gonna give out anytime soon. And I'm sure it'll only get better once we're able to upgrade to a higher quality mattress. I'm definitely happy with this investment, and I think you will be too.

Ok, I hope this review can help someone that was like me. There are a lot of reviews that are for the Zinus brand bed base but for different models. This review is for the Zinus 14 inch Elite Smart base "Big and Tall". You can see each base model on the product description and compare them. With that being said, do not get it mixed with the 18 inch or other 14 inch models. This model is for the "Big and Tall" and it's added feature is extra stability and weight limit of 4,000 lbs. Now, my wife and I are not big and tall at all, lol. We are actually not even close to that, but I wanted the extra stability in the frame after reviewing other customer reviews showing how the frame began to bend on them. Look at the product pictures and you will see that on the Big and Tall frame there are extra thick beams throughout the frame, whereas the other frames have more of a wire going throughout the inside. Other reviews have showed those wires bending on people. I didn't want any chance of that happening, so I chose to go with the more thicker beamed framed. I'm glad I did because this frame is a tank solid. I've only had it for a couple of weeks now, but I am VERY - VERY PLEASED with my purchase. Time will tell if any squeaks will start, but right now absolutely quiet. No squeaks at all. Now the big topic everyone is concerned about, the storage space under the frame. This frame has at least 12 inch in height storage space. You might be able to squeeze a little more than that but you might have difficulty pulling out your container. I've included a photo with a 12 inch high tote under the frame. When I was in search of a base, I really wanted the 18 inch high Zinus frame, but I was concerned of the stability of the frame. From other reviews showing of the wired typed of frame has bent for others, I was also concerned with going 4 inches higher on the frame legs on 18 inch will make ghe frame less stable. I assume the higher you go, the less stable the legs are on the frame. I don't know if that is true, but the 14 inch frame with the solid bars throughout is very stable and still comes with excellent space under the bed. You can go 12 inches high and be safe, and you have the entire rest of the bed space for storage. My wife put together the frame and mattress HERSELF while I was at work. I guess she couldn't wait but she did an awesome job and it's not difficult. My entire king size bed came in 2 boxes from Amazon. The frame and mattress. We are using a "Classic Brands 14 inch Cool Gel Memory Foam" king size mattress that we couldn't be more pleased of. These two items together are a match made in heaven, lol. Although we will be putting some flat plywood between frame and mattress just to give more of a flat surface for the memory foam. I don't know if it's necessary because when I look under the bed, I don't see any substantial sagging. It looks fine, but I just want to be safe. At the end of the day, the frame is awesome and a great idea. Very sturdy, quiet, easy to put together and easy to move around. I am very pleased with my purchase and I highly recommend it.

Was a bit skeptical about this but very surprised when I took it out of the box and 30 minutes later I was lying on a the mattress on top of the frame and it was solid as a rock. I'm a large person, tall and my lady is medium height and this frame didn't creak, squeak or wobble and shake. It unfolded and went together easily and quickly. We put silicone furniture sliders under the legs and it is a breeze to move for cleaning underneath. The material is high quality and burr free so no torn sheets etc. It came with a very nice skirt and our head and foot boards attached easily with the mounting kit we bought for this frame. You can see that this is a heavy duty bed frame once it is together. Worth the money and definitely heavy duty build. Thanks to the "A" crew for service and delivery. Drive safe everyone.

The box spring for our king mattress was getting a little old, and we have been finding problems with support. So we decided to try getting this frame before going out and buying a new mattress and box spring. My wife and I are very happy with the support offered by this platform, and we can now wait for a good mattress sale to replace the mattress if we so choose! When I received the king frame, I made the mistake of carrying it upstairs in its box (unbox it before carrying it up a flight of stairs, then you are moving two 30 lb pieces instead of one 60 lb piece). Assembly was fairly easy, getting some of the cross members in place was a bit hard just due to clearance from the sides, and determining how much the wingnuts had to be unscrewed to allow the cross member to be put in place was probably the most difficult part. The two halves are attached together with a pair of bolts, which have wingnuts on both ends. It is a little frustrating that the rivets holding a each piece together line up perfectly when attaching. Though this has little impact on putting the pieces together. I would say it took me less than 10 minutes to put the frame together. As for how quiet it is, we previously had another metal frame similar to this that was super squeaky, and it was very, very annoying. This though, this is very quiet. As in there is no sound coming from it after two weeks. The cross members at the fold flip out horizontally and are perpendicular to the frame, the cross members at the ends flip vertically and are at like a 45 degree angle. The way this is held together, I am pretty confident it should remain rather quiet. I also have not stubbed my toes on the legs, the distance they are recessed is pretty great!
