Should meet your Expectations
If you want a pistol rest as a shooting aid, but don't need the precision, cost, weight, or hassle of something like a Ransom Rest . . . this device should meet your needs. One look at the (accurate) picture should tell you whether it will do what you want . . . provide support for the barrel and butt of your pistol. It is adjustable over a very wide (handgun) range. It quickly accommodated my wife's hands on a Ruger SR22 pistol, and still had room to go for smaller hands and a smaller handgun. It easily fit my largest handgun - a 5" 1911 - in my own hands with much more room to grow. There is plenty of front height adjustment to accomodate a seated shooter at an indoor range shooting a chest-high target -- at least at my range, though YMMV :) I bought it primarily to give my wife a "handicap" - she loves to shoot but suffers from neuropathy - and it does the job. It also works well to match a laser to your iron sight POA. The unit is light in weight, and the base is flexible but not flimsy. It is easy to break down into 3 pieces and stuff in your range bag. The four small rubber pads on the base prevent it from sliding around, though it is not a heavy-weight, bolt-down, bolt-in pistol stand. But it's infinitely better than sandbags or a coat and a bunch of rags. The price - and the photo - should accurately tell you whether its for you.

Great for air guns, used on a flat level surface
I am giving this a 5 star review,as I bought this for air rifle and pistol use only. In my basement 25foot range. Works great assembles fast- once you get the hang of the height adjustment,it works flawlessly. It is light and can be carried easily, but it is awkward to try to pack in a bag. But it can be done. I imagine it would work just as well for a 22 cal, 9mm. Pistol or carbine, there are rubber feet screwed in the foot bottoms that can be removed and replaced with spike anchors if you want extreme non slip for larger caliber weapons- firearms. If you, like me, are only using it for air guns than it beats a bag rest by a mile. It is easily positionable and we'll thought out. For the price and what I am using it for it gets 5 stars. Of course the disadvantage of this rest, is that it has to be used on a flat level surface, for which a shooting bag rest would be more suitable. But at this price- it leaves me enough $ to buy a bag rest as well

Gets the job done
Its made in China, get over it. More things sold here will be made there just like more things from here will be sold there. Asian quality can be sketchy but remember early Japanese cars and how they are now; just inspect stuff and buy where you can send it back for free, like Amazon Prime. And yes it is thin plastic; I wouldn't say flimsy but definitely lightweight. The advantage to this is that it comes apart and fits into my range bag, sets up instantly and doesn't weigh me down. It is also less than $20! So after three range trips shooting CZ 75BD; Colt 1911 and Beretta 92FS (.45 and 9mm) I think it gets the job done. It settles a little through the middle when you first rest your gun and arms on it but it sinks down about the same each time and then stays there. A piece of wood across midships would stiffen it but it actually works fine as is. The height adjustment is precise and stays where you set it and the hand rest adjusts fore and aft enough to fit most barrel lengths. The cradle seems fine, just be careful to keep the muzzle ahead of the cushion so it doesn't get blasted (or the forcing cone on a revolver for the same reason.) Once set up, I could remount the pistols after each shot and have the same sight picture. The gun jumps from recoil (as with any rest) but the rest itself doesn't change settings. I'm not sure this is the tool for 454 Casull or S&W 500 mag; but it works for most pistol calibers. I think light rifles would be OK too but I haven't tried that yet. Four stars because it is light plastic and does flex some but overall a fine rest for occasional use at a price that doesn't hurt at all.

Unit is adequate but not outstanding
I bought this pistol rest to help me zero a red dot optic at 25 yards. Here are a few things I learned while using the Pistolero. 1.) A light touch is key to shooting tight groups. If you grip your pistol too hard causing you to press down on the rear base it may cause the unit to flex... and you will spray your shots. 2.) When adjusting the elevation make sure the ram lock is firmly engaged on the ram... otherwise the cradle may rock. 3.) Squeeze the trigger slow and smoothly and let it surprise you as to when it fires. 4.) Make sure the Pistolero is sitting on a flat surface. Some outdoor shooting ranges will have some warping on the wooden shooting tables. 5.) Have fun! 6.) I ended up returning this pistol stand and ordered the Hyskore #30018 Parallax Pistol Sighting Rest.

Wonderful inexpensive fantastic gun rest.
I am not an incredible marksman. I just purchased a 2021 HK VP9 9mm match and a new Trijicon SRO 3. I wanted to zero in the SRO red dot so I purchased the gun rest after looking at some YouTube on the Pistolero. The first few targets I threw away, this is the 4th target and it is ‘almost perfect’ and my wife was so surprised at 15 yards she was able to get a bullseye. With the Pistolero it was easy, fun and you can see the results. This gun rest is simple to put together, easy to adjust on the range, it did not get close to breaking and I did not have to make it more sturdy. Moreover, my wife and I had fun and she learned to improve her shots. In fact, we both think it is a better teaching aid than dummy rounds or lessons. My wife learned to control the 9 mm faster, worked on her trigger control better and she wants to practice with the PISTOLERO gun rest in the future. This is so reasonable everyone learning should buy one or anyone wanting to have a perfect red zero. We were both glad about the purchase and my wife is looking forward to practicing with it in the future. Absolutely a great simple and inexpensive purchase. We both strongly recommend the Pistolero and what a great name, my wife has come up with new nicknames for me! Get this inexpensive reasonable adjustable gun rest. This is 5*****.

Pistol rest
This rest seemed a bit flimsy when I took it out of the box, but it works well....except with very small pistols. I works great with compact and full size models and it really aids in getting a red dot dialed in.

Adequate Pistol Rest, A good value.
Bought this rest to check the sighting on several semi-autos. This rest was adequate for sighting-in. It is some kind of plastic or polymer. It is lite weight. So, it needs to be held down with your hands and/or sandbags. The adjustments are very good. There was a very little bit of wiggle in the barrel rest. But, not a significant problem. I sighted 4 pistols, with 3, 4, and 5 inch barrels. One pistol has a laser sight on the rail. I shot two 1911 pistols with the trigger guard pressed against the barrel rest. Three of them were off a little bit. Now I know they are all accurately sighted in. I also have a Caldwell Lead Sled. That unit is excellent for rifles. It is steel; but still needs sandbags to hold it in place. This unit is a good value for the price and will do the job for you. I ranked it at 4 stars because of the lite weight. It would be better if made of metal with more weight. It still seemed well made and sturdy enough.

Perfecto

Well made but way to light.
Excellent for site manipulation. Used for 9mm. Much to light. Had to build a heavier base to keep it stable.
