Was perfect for my leather project. The thickness was perfect and easy to use. Definitely got my money worth.

This appears to be a nice quality leather. The grain is smooth and has no real defects. The color is beautiful and I’m looking forward to working with it. My only gripe is that my piece was rolled tightly into a box and held quite a strong curl after taking out. I did two rounds of lightly wetting the flesh side and then pressing under books and that seems to be relaxing the leather. The ends seem to want to curl slightly but I’m hoping it will hold flat for my project. Another supplier shipped a piece of the same size wrapped flat and I much prefer this. So despite the extra work I have to do to get it flat, I think it’s a nice quality piece.

What a great way to use an animal! I was hesitant to buy new leather for making earrings but this was such a good choice!!!! Love that I can make use of scraps. I even got some blue and red shades! Large pieces! I’ll be able to make great earrings with this!!!!! Would buy again.

I bought this for a costume I'm making. Leather is nice. Easy to work with.

I usually source my own leather in house but in a pinch, historically, I've found that this leather has been a more than suitable substitute. Over time I've noticed that the quality has become lacking.The leather arrives very rigid and dry, often requiring conditioning before I'm able to work it to avoid cracking. It is also more difficult to burnish and doesn't like to accept the conditioning well. Additionally, when I run needles through the thread holes I punch I notice that the interior of the leather likes to crumble and pill.Going to use the supply I have now and will order another piece for hat patches in a couple of months to check quality, so if you're using this for actual sales orders keep in mind quality has been an issue.

I was looking to purchase a solid, thick piece of leather, in order to make a sheath for a hatchet. Not knowing a thing about working with leather, I decided on this one.It is quite surprising! Thicker than what I thought it was going to be. Many times, you don't get quite what you thought you would. Not so here! This is a thick piece of leather!It is described as "oil-Waxed" and I guess it is. It seems finished, not like a raw piece of leather. Because of this, I would carefully select the right colour you want. For me, colour was unimportant.I can't say too much about value, because I am new to leather. Having said that, I am very impressed with the quality I see, and my finished product will last for decades.Thanks! Paid for by me...
