The Codes Guidebook for Interiors
R**.
It was used and it was in amazing condition
What I liked about it was it was a hard cover with no damages at the corners/ends of the book. Flipping through pages they were clean with no previous notes in it.

Incomprehensible number of typos
I’m flabbergasted. I’ve never purchased a book, professionally published, that has so many typos. It’s as if not a single person read this before it was printed. Most of the typos are small errors in grammar. However, they make some sentences hard very to decipher. There’s also just blatant errors. E.g. chapter 3 page 105, the author states the occupant load for a business is 100 when the table on page 102 states it’s 150. The content is great and neatly organized to understand among the IBC, ICC, and NFPA. It’s a great resource and it would be that much better if it had been edited properly.

Really needs a thorough edit
I'm giving 3 stars because this book has been helpful in understanding some of the whys of the codes and technical terms better but having read through the whole thing there are multiple places where sentences don't make sense because of grammar, paragraphs are completely consecutively duplicated, and material in the book contradicts the questions and answers given in the Workbook. For example, question 43 under the Chapter 6 Fire and Smoke Resistant Assemblies short questions asks Which is required to have a fire resistant rating? The answers are:a. Fire barrierb. Smoke barrier and smoke partitionc. Fire barrier and smoke barrierd. All of the above. The correct answer according to the workbook is d. All of the above. However on page 244 of the textbook it says "For example, neither smoke partitions nor doors in smoke partitions are required to be rated" So now I'm just confused, are they required to be rated or not? This is only 1 example of MANY where it just seems like no one actually read through the book and answered the workbook given the information actually provided. Or even proofed just the book. It feels rushed and lazy, but I did learn some stuff hence 3 stars.
