No joke, i would often follow plans to a T for a few days and gain a couple of pounds...maddening to say the least. I'm only 3 days in but I will tell you this program is simple but also very unique in a few ways that I think are whats making it so effective for me. I have lost 3 lbs in 3 days (only have 10 or 15 to lose total). But I also feel really great...mentally and physically! Mind you I already ate healthy food and exercised regularly...i've done so most of my life but the recent holidays... 3 kids later and thyroid disease caused the excess weight no matter what. This is very doable and simple!! The hardest thing for me to get used to eating nothing between lunch and dinner...i followed so many plans that allow you to eat veggies and/or regular snacks like almonds and such during the afternoon and evening...and I realized I was constantly taking little bites of what I thought was healthy...my lunches on Stark Naked are very filling and they carry me through till the evening. I'm having a large bowl of green soup, some sauteed chicken, other veggies and half of avocado...delish. I'm not hungry so i think i was eating more emotionally and I was conditioned to eat tons of small meals per day. I also looooove my big giant one cup full of sweet potato ( and could be white potato!! ) at night! for years i've read that even good carbs should only be eaten early in the day.. i really enjoy a hearty dinner with some carbs...and I'm sleeping better too. nightly Ive had a snack pack of raw cashews from Trader Joes. Trust me, I've tried Paleo, Fast Metabolism, The Plan....some heavy duty complicated eating plans....the beauty of this plan is in its simplicity. I'm thrilled that I get to eat from all the food groups in the same day and can enjoy small amounts of organic heavy cream and great tasting butter. I havent done it yet but I think you could eat out on this plan pretty easily. a nice piece of fish broiled, veggies and potato. I decided to write when i say the last review gave a one star rating. I agree somewhat....the narration may not be stellar but bottom line this is a really healhty plan that seems to be working and I feel excited to stay on and see where it takes me!! I will update. I was a gymnast growing up and a bodybuilder in my twenties. I thought I knew how to lose weight and firm up, but nothing worked until I read this book. I was 40 and I hadn’t exercised much for the past ten years. I was always tired and lacked the energy to keep up. Yes, it was difficult to stay on track because of my sugary desires, but it was worth it. I lost 9 lbs in 3 weeks and I felt better than I had in my 20’s! I’m a small frame at 5’2” so 9 lbs was a big difference for me and I only needed to lose 20 lbs. I had more energy than I could ever remember having and I had always lifted weights and was very healthy up until I was 30. I had a few questions along the way and was pleasantly surprised when I emailed Brad with questions and he responded instantly! I couldn’t believe it! This guy knows what he’s talking about and he’s extremely helpful!!! You don’t have to be a former Olympian athlete to follow this 21 day challenge, just very determined and ready for change. Great program, you WILL feel better!!!!! Only setback is the expense of eating this healthy:(
Great program, makes sense and both my boyfriend and I are losing weight, feel better and have more energy. The only thing that kept me from giving the book 5 stars is the expense of eating this way. This is no fault of the program, but my grocery cost has almost tripled since starting this program 14 day ago. We plan to continue after the 21 days since we both feel SO much better, just may have to get another job to cover food costs!!! We have both also lost weight, but really this is secondary to just feeling so much better, less tired, grumpy, listless, etc......The smoothies are fantastic, and more affordable if you get frozen fruit this time of year.

Today is the first day of the rest of your dieting life
I cant begin to say how much I love this book. This is everything I believe put into one neat and tidy package. It is a book for REAL people. If you want to look like a swimsuit model or you want to compete, there are a million books out there. But there is a sacrifice - you have to be "on" 100% of the time. What people dont realize is that even Hollywood celebrities and fitness stars dont look like that year round. It is not sustainable. You can look good year round and then have to train to "peak" for an event. This books gives real results to the average person and you dont have to sacrifice your life. Eat super clean for three weeks and learn what works for your body before you start adding things back in. Stop exercising like a crazy person and start enjoying just being active! Your results are 90% diet and what you eat can give you the energy to make you want to be active! The plan is realistic and does not require a lot of crazy lifestyle changes. You eat a specific (and seriously delicious!) way for 3 weeks and you give up the crazy workouts. Then your body is "rebooted" for a normal life. You can add back things like coffee and wine, but you will feel so good you almost dont want to go too crazy on anything unhealthy. You stay in balance. If you are tired of seriously restricted and unappetizing eating and you are beaten up from going to the gym, use this book to reset your metabolism and start over with a realistic outlook for a lifetime of healthy and happy living. Brad is a total rockstar and the recipes are truly delicious. I will never need another program again.

Good to start and motivate yourself
Good review and f can't ncepta and ideas to apply. Not too many specifics but aims at the right direction. Good to start on a plan that you can believe and get some results.

OK, a fair bit of this book is not new. What is new is the way in which a lot of the individual aspects are brought into line in a very simply told manner. A very good way of telling it how it is, and it hits home. A very good read. Wish I had found this book sooner.

Great book. Really sensible in its approach. I found it easy to read and the reset really worked for me.

I am just getting started, so I can't report any results. I am very impressed with the authors' research - he definitely knows what he is talking about. It does take a while to wrap your head around this program: your patterns need to change. You likely have to shop for different food, eat differently, cook differently, etc. The author does offer some tips to help with the new way of preparing food though. One thing that is surprising is that I often complain about is that there too much food to eat. You won't be hungry.

For anyone sitting on the fence about buying this book- Buy It! It's written in a quirky sort of way and I felt the author was really trying to engage. It just totally makes sense, I'm on day 18 of the reset, I'm 9lbs down, sleeping like a baby, lost about 6 inches overall and I'm just feeling so much more energised, alive and healthier. The thought of a green smoothie horrified me, but I actually love them! You need to be organised and prepared with your shopping list for your meals and youll possibly find your shopping bill increases but it's definately worth it to feel so much healthier. On top of this I've not been hungry even once! It doesn't stop with the book, you can join a FB group where Brad will support you and answer any questions etc that you may have. A lot of ingredients are US but it was easy to improvise. Top tip: buy a set of US measuring cups (£2) from Morrisons to ensure that your portions are correct.
