Product Description The wait is over - Larry David is back! In Season 7, Larry contemplateshis future with an ailing Loretta, and decides on a novel approach to winning back Cheryl. In addition to Larry finding himself embroiled in usual cauldron of self-made crises, he orchestrates a reunion with the entire cast of Seinfeld! .com Art continues to imitate life to squirm-inducing effect in Curb Your Enthusiasm's seventh season. Now divorced, Larry (creator Larry David) lets agent Jeff (Jeff Garlin) talk him into a Seinfeld reunion. He convinces the old gang to participate--Jerry, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander, and Michael Richards--but mostly he hopes to win back Cheryl (Cheryl Hines), who longs to play George's ex-wife (Jerry would prefer guest stars Meg Ryan or Elisabeth Shue). Seinfeld fans are in for a treat when George's mother, Mrs. Costanza (Estelle Harris), and neighbor Newman (Wayne Knight) drop by for rehearsals. In the show's boldest move, Richards's taped tirade at a comedy club in 2006, which set the Internet on fire, plays into the season's story arc. When he isn't working on the script with Jerry, Larry hangs out with Leon (J.B. Smoove), tries to find a way to break up with Loretta (Vivica A. Fox), and discovers the benefits of dating a "wheelie" (in David's scenes with Seinfeld, the two often appear on the verge of cracking up). Of course, it wouldn't be Curb if Larry didn't step into a few minefields along the way, including an awkward plumbing problem, an inappropriately bare midriff (not his), a 9-year-old texting buddy (talk about inappropriate!), a dessert war with Ted Danson, a misunderstanding with Mocha Joe, and in a nod to the musical West Side Story, a real-life Officer Krupke. If some episodes are funnier than others--"The Black Swan" features one death too many--Curb comes through in the finale, in which Larry's jealousy of Jason's relationship which Cheryl gets out of hand. A fine addition to the L.D. canon, the season also offers the immortal line, "I'm Larry David, and I happen to enjoy wearing women's panties." --Kathleen C. Fennessy

The supporting cast
There's something so refreshing about a comedy where the main character says what we're all thinking and does the things we all want to do.Larry might be awkward, annoying and far from subtle, but he's just so funny and that's what makes this show worth watching. Larry together with a tight but twisted plot, great ad-lib and perfect acting make this show one of the best on television.Seeing Larry get him self into lots of strange situations makes us empathize with him because we can imagine our self's getting into the same situations. A lot of the things he does are perfectly normal and some of them are not and a lot of the things he does are perfectly rational and other are not, either way he says and does the things a lot of us would be thinking in the same situations. The supporting cast are truly amazing and their ability to ad-lib the entire show is truly wonderful and makes it seem even more realistic.I'm aware that a lot of people maybe "don't get" this show. But I will say the same thing about this show as I did about The Office (the British version of course) - uncomfortable comedy can sometimes be the best and the most realistic. If you think about those times in real life when funny things happen and you can't laugh either because it's at the wrong moment or around the wrong people. Well watching this show you can laugh at those moments because it's Larry who's experiencing them.

Danny Duberstein is good at two things...
and Curb Your Enthusiasm is good at many. The season's arc is to gather the old Seinfeld cast to do a reunion special. Doesn't sound like Larry David, does it? As with anything Larry does, he has an agenda, and here it is to get back together with his wife by casting her in the reunion. Each Seinfeld member has their own storyline:-Jerry works closely with Larry on writing the reunion-Julia is concerned about her wood not being respected-Jason continues to annoy Larry with his habits and his growing relationship with Cheryl-Michael is worried about a disease and seeks out help from Danny Duberstrin (in one of the funniest scenes)Although the Seinfeld reunion is the overall arc for the season, it only represents about half of the season. There are plenty of other hilarious moments. Highlights include:-A crazy sister-Amorous activities in vechiles-Larry's dates with handicapped women-Run-ins with Christian Slater, Rosie O'Donnell, and a black swan-Larry's understanding of how people can injury their necks (only 2 ways)-A midriff that is all too bare-Woman's pantiesThe extras include 4 short features that are all Seinfeld-related and something that fans of both Seinfeld and Curb will find enjoyable. It's pretty, pretty, pretty good and highly recommended.

Life Tales
Larry David and friends pulled it off once more, their humor may not be for everyone but everyone that appreciates a character that rails against all things PC; well then Larry is your man. the guy is anti political correctness to the extreme. He is so extreme that even his friends accept the fact that he is a jerk because even when he has a good idea or his better nature presents itself, well you just know that some how Larry is going to be on the receiving of scorn and humiliation. Enjoy his attics folks for Mr David is a true comedy prize if for no other reason then after watching his life tales you are so glad your not him.

great series that satasfies the curmudgeon that lives in all of us,
Absolutely great series that satasfies the curmudgeon that lives in all of us, it like scratching an itch you couldn't reach, but now you're not sure if someone caught you, ah nevermind who cares scratch away. Larry's character asks life unanswered intrusive questions with the wit and sensibility of a salty sailor combine that with drunk Holiday uncles (you all know who I'm talking about) verbal restraint when he adds his unsolicited life advice at the dinner table. I also love the characters lack of respect for social convention, it dissects the monotonous sitcom formula with a ubiquitous deviation, that makes rewatching the episodes as funny the third time, or fourth time, the humor doesn't erode over time. In finality it's Seinfeld on steroids.

You either love him or hate him
You either love him or hate him, but he gets a rise out of everyone. I think he's brilliant. Sometimes you watch something and it makes you feel uncomfortable, and he does, but the humor is so incendiary and ridiculous and provocative that it overrides the awfulness and I shake my head in disbelief and laugh.I just watched all of season 7 in the last few days. Larry Davids' character seems to have gotten more edgy and offensive than earlier seasons but it's just so ridiculously funny and the writing is so good. If you like the "Curb" concept, season 7 pushes tastelessness to a new level. And it's like a train wreck....you can't avert your eyes. Every episode this season is a gem.

No let-up from prior seasons!
Expect solid, creative, funnier and way more mature situations than during his stint as co-creator of Seinfeld! Larry David plays a mostly tongue-in-cheek, fictionalized version of himself on HBO, so you should expect the material to be adult in theme, but that's not to say you'll get X or even R rated humor here! No, in actuality I don't even recall a single instance of nudity in *any* season of CYE. Profanity, while rare considering the show is on HBO, can occasionally be heard, and almost always in context with the episode's subject. So - if you, like me, enjoyed the writing in Seinfeld, and especially prior seasons of CYE, this is a must see *and* a guaranteed hit!

More of the same isn't a bad thing
Yes, its more of the same from Larry David and this is exactly what I want to see.Curb's unique comedy is what makes this show so successful and Larry David doesn't disappoint with creative script writing and production. The continuity with previous season's themes is transparent, slick and funny yet does not require new viewers to have seen previous seasons to understand the humor.David's sense of humor is not for everybody, some find it offensive even though there is never X rated scenes and rarely is foul language used, at least in comparison to other HBO shows. If you think you will enjoy watching a neurotic, self centered, ego inflated individual navigate his way through life, then this show is for you!

Curb Your Enthusiasm: The Complete Seventh Season (Bilingual)
Top shelf comedy. Always look forward to new seasons of this gem. The quality compensates for the rather expensive price tag. Price is probably coming down by now. Laughed so hard I could hardly breath.
