If you have a direct connection to your power strip, it lights up as bright as other neon signs. If you use a long usb extension cable like more than 16 ft, the glow will be slightly softer. With that said, this neon music sign is off to the side of a large spectrum analyzer display. The setup ---> three rolls of led strips (3-pin) for seven rows of music bars at 7' each. With corner connectors and strip connectors. An SP107E music controller. A 5v 15 amp ac to dc power supply adapter. --->As the music bars in the spectrum display bounce to the songs, a lid on each of the 7 music bars fly up and falls back down slower. Then each lid separately goes back up again -- when the music bars hit each one and they all cascade back down. The neon sign next to the display is a finishing touch

For a brighter product connect USB! Makes a world of difference between us and just using batteries. Was a very addition to my son's bedroom. He loved it! Only con is I wish it was just a little bigger.

This fits perfectly with the music theme of my space.

There is an extremely foul spelling odor from the plastic this item is made of and it is just not a quality made item. Bought it for a gift but embarrassed to give it.

The lights work with batteries and cool to plug with your tv set to turn off and on the seller please send me some courtesy ones after this polite review. The neon lights all kind made from this seller light up no issues turning this product from on to off light.
