85188 Ultra Disc Brake Caliper Lube, 0.5 oz.

This product is a must have when serving brake slide pins, it’s high temp and lasts longer, preventing brake lockups and uneven wear on pads and rotors.

I installed the front brake pads on my Toyota Corolla. The tube of grease was enough and there was even some left over — enough to lubricate the pads, all the hardware springs, and the caliper guide pins. Overall, I’m very satisfied.

Had to do brakes on several Japanese vehicles this past summer. This stuff works great for lubricating any of the moving parts.

Did the job

So about two years ago i replaced my brake pads and calipers and then over the summer I got a small vibration in my steering wheel noticeably i could feel it from the front drivers side tire and noticed my brakes would squeal when i came to a stop, and they were feeling spongy which i thought was weird. when i got home took the wheels off thinking maybe the caliper had some rust from the nasty Wisconsin winter, went through everything even bled all the brake lines with new fluid thinking that would help but didn't reapply copper anti-seize as there was still some on the pins, i just smeared it around. well needless to say it came back about 2 months later, and at this time the one pin on the drivers side was dry, i am honestly surprised it did not completely seize up on me, well all that aside i reapply anti-seize liberally, and figured i was done but my brakes still felt a little spongy. well i start hearing it again this spring which was about 6-8 months after the two incidents happened and i get the wobble back in my steering wheel, totally thinking crap i am going to have to just redo the caliper at this point, i call up one of my good friends who is a ford master mechanic and he tells me to stop using the copper anti-seize oddly enough made by permatax and switch to either this or the Ceramic extreme brake parts lubricant as they seem to work much better, knowing i don't do brakes very often i just buy the little 5 oz. bottle to try it out, and for the last 7 months i have seen better brake performance, and my brakes are no longer spongy, for the price i wish i would have bought more, who would have though the anti seize was my problem all along .

I read somewhere that this is best on your new brake parts. I trust it does the job. Excellent price and just enough product.

Exactly as advertised. I just wish I had paid more attention to the size, because it's a small amount but should be enough to do the job.

Its says its for Disc Brake Caliper Lube, but does not say the temperature limits, I'll try and see how long will it last under extreme heat of the brakes....
