I use it for Fiberglas and plastic repair. Just don’t tug on a lose string….it will completely unravel.

4 and 6oz e-glass tape is perfect for cracked plastic repairs where you have a gap greater than 1/32". The heavier the structure is, the heaver the material should be. Just remember that no matter what cloth and resin you are using, the cloth should be as soaked as possible, which means the white cloth will turn clear like glass when the material is soaked properly.This, and the 4oz work great for light structural stuff, but you should use 8oz or heavier for things like auto body, or boat repair.This 6 ounce tape does fray easier than the 4 ounce.

So much easier and cleaner than cutting mat into strips.

Not 6 oz cloth, but ~ 5 oz. 12" of material weighs .0463 ounces. 0.0463x12x9= 5 oz/yd2. This is a 20% light. Poorly made, lacking in uniformity. Selvage on edges is irregular with loose loops hanging out. One roll had two areas where the weft is missing for a length of an inch, to several inches. Does not lay out straight.I don't understand why this has good reviews.

Used this to kevlar reinforce a rifle stock. Perfect width and was able to double layer it. It does try to come apart on the ends so lots of care is needed.

Nice for limiting the repaired area on long cracks next to sliding hardware.
