These take a little getting used to but a great product! I exclusively pump and this is very nice to have on a long car ride or when I don't want to deal with the wires of my electric pump. I have not used the milk catchers and find them kind of a waste but I bought a second haakaa pump because they are so easy to use and clean.

This breast pump is something that is good for those emergencies when your electric pump is not working or if you need it in an emergency. This works best if you like manual pumping. It does not require too much strength but it does take a little more time than electric pump in my opinion. There is no real assembly required as this is manual. The pump itself is made of pretty good material so it should not become foggy or break. These are are pretty easy to clean u. I would not recommend using this in the dish wash and only to wash with cold water. The material feels like it is easy to warp so hot water may damage the pumps. Again this all relies pretty much on suction to remain attached. I would say it is quiet but not silent. You can still hear some of the mechanism as well as ventilation. The pump does not cause much discomfort and does a good job getting milk. The suction held well and it is pretty easy to detach if needed. It is pretty easy to put under your clothes as needed and you can do other things a bit while trying to pump. There is also a nice cover so you no longer get breast milk stains on your shirt. It is pretty comfortable to wear and easy to remove when needed. Overall I think the pump is a good device to have. It really helps mothers be bit more comfortable. The covers is something that can be worn under your clothes. It has nice storage containers and does not tug hard on the skin. It is easy to clean and reuse again. The suction holds pretty well.

I love the Hakaa brand products, but this pump specifically is poorly designed. It does not have the suction cup on the bottom to help keep from spilling, and it's smaller at the bottom which makes it prone to tipping. In a house with a toddler, that's a sure bet it will tip frequently. Also, it's nit as big as the ones with the suction cup, so I frequently fill it to a point it will overflow during feeds after a long sleep. I ended up getting a 2nd one that I have to use first thing in the morning, and when the toddler is awake/present while I feed. If I have to use this one, I set it inside an empty coffee cup while I'm burping and cleaning up so it doesn't spill before I can empty it into a bottle.

I ordered this set for a cousin after falling in love with the Hakaa myself when my babies were newborns. I had never tried the ladybugs and I love that this kit includes both so that new moms can experience both the suction style letdown collector as well as a no-pressure collection through the ladybugs. I personally think I would prefer the suction since I had intense oversupply and anything that could take some of the pressure off was so welcome, but for those with stronger letdown/leakage, the ladybugs would work great if you don't need pressure to release your milk.I love that this comes in a nice box that looks nice when given as a gift, and the affordable price point means every nursing parent can try this out on their breast feeding journey. The added bonus of no noise when you need a quiet way to catch letdown or express milk is an awesome option for when baby is asleep on you and you don't want to risk waking them up, too. Overall a wonderful product and perfect for any nursing parent or parent to be! Recommended

I think this is one of those products that people either swear by or simply doesn’t work. Unfortunately I’m the latter. I got this with the idea I could use it on the go when I wasn’t able to use an electric pump easily, or to catch letdown while nursing, and mainly to try to relieve a clog I got shortly after starting to nurse & pump. It didn’t work for any of these things. I read the directions, reviews, and scoured the boards on my pregnancy app for tips & tricks. It was uncomfortable, didn’t get more than a few drops out, and ended up all cloudy when I tried to wash it. I really wish, especially for the price, that this would have worked for me. (Btw the ladybugs were just as uncomfortable). I ended up getting a Medela manual pump instead and have been using it almost exclusively for my pumping sessions. Works much better and was half the price.

This is such a great system - no batteries, no cords or bajillion parts - very straightforward to use and easy to clean. The pump and collectors are made out of silicone and are gentle, durable and can be boiled to sanitize. The pump works really well: you have full control of the suction, but the collectors may take some getting used to.
