The stain kit arrives well-packaged. Included in the kit are some basic accessories and a set of instructions for those who are just getting into the hobby.This kit was purchased for assessing the viability of yeast for brewing. Everything works exactly as expected.This kit differs from others in that the stains are stored in superior, light-resistant brown dropper bottles. Most of the other manufacturers choose to use clear/opaque packaging. Methylene Blue stain solution is degraded by exposure to light. The choice of packaging extends the life of the stain solutions by reducing exposure to ambient light. Keep stain solutions stored in a cool, dark place away from light when not in use (the shipping package works perfectly for this).Thanks Rs' Science !

These solutions worked exactly as expected. The nice extra touches were the seller including an absorbing table cover and plastic gloves for use while working w/ this highly-staining solution, as well as an informative (not boring) pamphlet on how the solutions work.

I used these stains for fungal microscopy. They worked great. The insert was fairly informative, although I ended up looking up protocols online. Decent volume in amber glass bottles. Comes with the dropper in the cap. I wanted some basic stains because I was tired of not being able to find any at work! I'm glad I ordered these, although I probably should have considered a package with more stains. Now, most stain kits come with at least methylene blue, so there will be some extra if I end up taking that route.

Individually they work well, but one stain seems to remove the other when used together.

You can buy slide stains from a number of different companies, but Rs' Science always has excellent printed material with their products. Clearly written, with practical tips, I think their descriptions and explanations really set their microscopy products apart. Plus, the dark brown glass bottles offer superior product packaging. Well worth the price and sure to please!

Soo cute! I’ve actually been really wanting science stickers, that was such a great surprise! Comes with all the info you could need (chemical, safety, etc), and even mini projects with lessons. Having adopted a biomedical major late in my college career, I really appreciate clear and concise cell diagrams in an easy access pamphlet. I have not used the stains yet, as I don’t have microscope slides while visiting hometown for the holidays, I just wanted to review before I got busy again and forget. Very excited.

These stains were packaged nicely, included everything I needed and they worked very well. And my slides were prepared "quick and dirty". Still got a great result.
