Original review at bottom.. updaTed review follows:::I purchased this rug about 9 months ago. I only came back to this order because of a comment I received. But I feel obligated to inform anyone interested in making this purchase.. best rug ever . Period .I stand behind everything I said in my initial review 9 months ago. However I wrote that review just a week after receiving it and laying it out. There's a lot I've learned about it since.As you can see in the pictures we have a dog in our home. We also have a bunny who roams the main living space and a 5 yr old. The bunny is litter trained but there's always a trail of hay leading to his cage lol The dog obviously tracks in mud and who knows what else, and the 5 yr old is a typical 5 yr old who spills something on it pretty much daily. Not to mention both of said 5 yr old's parents are a bit on the clumsy side ;) This rug is not exactly what I would call pampered. My point is this... the rug is still beautiful. I vacuum and clean up after spills of course, but the fibers of the rug are like stain resistant I think. I'll see the little one spill a whole drink and the liquid will sit on top of the carpet, instead of sinking in.. so if you move quickly you can prevent any and all damage. That extra bit of time is a luxury that anyone with young kids could appreciate. Also, the dog sheds. Like the liquid, the dog fur will sit on top instead of smushing in between the carpet.. it makes vacuuming a total breeze. I give it a once-over each week.Anyhow, the rug is wonderful and soft and my family has had many wonderful moments sitting on it playing board games and having movie night :) The bright colors really wake up the room and I am so happy I went with this one in the end.. (and I must have looked through 200 rugs lol) This one is a winner!Original review:I was reallly nervous about ordering this. I have seen this rug listed by different sellers but purchased mine from uniqueloom. Its an expensive purchase and i was worried about the colors being off, of the rug being of poor quality... So not the case here!This area rug is perfect! The colors are amazing, the fibers are so soft... I've had wood floors for a long time but could never decide on a rug. This one has the blues and greens I have in my living room, but also has pink, maroon, yellow, gold, orange... it looks different up close verse further away.. Either way it's bright and vibrant. Everyone who comes into our house mentions the rug being beautiful. And I actually forgot what it felt like to walk around barefoot on a carpet.. doing it on this one is seriously like a dream.Also we have ours in a pretty high traffic area..the dog likes it too... I thought her claws would be a problem, but they haven't pulled a single thread. In the passed I've ordered less expensive ones for the hall and they always look horrible in just a matter of days. Not this one. This one is strongly bonded and well made. No soot-like, rug dust left behind here either (which I've read in reviews)I am so pleased with this purchase! I definitely recommend this area rug, from this company. I'm uploading some photos so you can see. The colors look slightly different depending on sun or shade, flash, etc... but you'll get the idea.

Love the bright vibrant colors. It's a low pile rug . Using in the sitting area in basement. I was look for lightweight rug that would be easy to clean and if we have issues w/ sump pump and water enters the basement this rug would be easy to clean and dry

I love our old house, but it is dark wood and neutral walls. I took a chance on this rug with encouragement from my DIL, and I love it. I'm getting some colored pillows and throws to tie things together, but it suits me well. We have a VERY furry dog and the hair vacuums extremely easily. The rug dampens sound and makes the original imperfections of the pine floors less noticeable and more comfortable to walk on. I was afraid it was too thin when It came (folded in half and rolled with giant wrinkles) but after lying on the floor for a week and a few minor furniture adjustments over that time, it lays flat and looks great now. I didn't have any odor to deal with at all.

I ordered this rug just a day ago and was notified it would be delivered a week after purchase. Wow, it arrived today. It's really quite beautiful. We are happy with the colors. I have painted my kitchen and family room cabinets a pretty blue, with a Hawaiian theme going on. This rug looks fabulous with the whole room and my red and white chairs. It's hard to find the right blue to match my blue room. The abstract design isn't too fussy, fuzzy, or busy, for us. It's not a super plush rug, but I didn't want that, I wanted a low pile rug. They wear better. It's not too curled at the ends, I opened it right after delivery and we put our vacuums on the curled end. By tomorrow morning it will be straight and flat to put in the family room. I looked at two other websites that sell rugs. This rug from amazon was the best price for the size I got, 9'x11'. It's perfect. It's not a lightweight rug, it's well made and fairly heavy. It's not like a bathroom plushie rug either. At these great prices I can afford to change my rug in a few years, if I want to.

I bought this for my arts and crafts room because it needed some color and this rug fits the bill. It arrived promptly and was very easy to unroll. I did not have any problem with the edges at all -- they flattened out very quickly. I just sat some heavy stuff on them for a couple of hours.There is a little bit of an odor but it went away in about 24 hours. I turned on the fan and turned the A/C down to clear the air.So far I am very pleased with this purchase. I bought the 8x10 and the price was very reasonable.
