C4 18x56 is a WINNER
I had an opportunity to upgrade to the B5 18x56 and ended up keeping the C4 18x56 instead. The B5s are fantastic as most reviewers say - no doubt the highest quality - but for me, the C4 felt better in my hands, easier for me to view through (with contacts or glasses) and more balanced over the slightly recessed thumb areas under the tubes. They are also a little shorter than the B5. Optically I love the C4 - great for nature, astronomy, etc. I am not a professional guide - and if the peripheral 1-2% of the field of view is not 100% perfect, the only way I could ever notice that would be to try to look through them at an awkward angle to even see these areas in the first place. I am a very picky individual who pays attention to details, and in my job I use optics frequently to operate .I don’t feel like they are too heavy for use without a tripod, particularly if just walking around on a trail, etc., but for scanning the stars or looking through multiple layers of forest, use of a tripod is great. I feel the focusing is crisp and I love that I can dial focus through different depths of tree canopy in a forest.Image is bright, colors are beautiful - thrilled with this purchase - better than any other binos I was considering, and a “blind” test with my older teen sons both picked C4 as equal or better…Thank you Maven!

Great bino's for budget buyer
for the money, great bino's. No, these will not compare with some of the higher end bino's but at this price point, they are the best around. Very clear glass, I use them at matches and dont have fatigue looking through them all day long. I wear glasses and they are easily adjustable so I can see clear sight picture.

Good glass, heavy
Well constructed, love the 18x but it is heavy for those without horses and hiking in. Love them, careful when ordering a bino harness. These are bigger than most offer.

ED is a let down. Maven overpriced
Update 2: I ended up keeping them due to the hassle of sending them back and waiting 30 days for the refund. However I went and tried out some HD binoculars that were a fraction of the cost of these and surprisingly they were much clearer than these ED ones. Don’t believe the hype! These are not any higher quality than the $100-$200 Sig Sauer or Vortex.Update: The focus ring on the right side completely broke and fell off! Right after writing the review below.I’m kind of disappointed… well really I am greatly disappointed.I bought into the whole ED glass being spectacularly better and clear, however I have a vintage pair of “Jason” binoculars that put these Mavens to shame. The old ones are probably 30-40% clearer.I am also not impressed with the focus system. I have to reset my right eye EVERYTIME I change subjects. It should not be that way.I’m thinking about returning them but it is much harder to return these than a normal item on Amazon. You have to wait up to 30 days after they get them back and they go to Maven so you are under their mercy as to if you get your refund. I paid $575 and I feel like I received an entry level binocular.

Absolutely fantasitc clarity!
Absolutely clear and sharp. really long distance vision. i cant get over how clear these things make everything. everything looks like its under a microscope with these! Well worth the price point. These are also very rugged. You could put dings all over it and barely notice. its like a high quality rubberized coating to keep out dust and water. Lenses are top quality. Sight edge is sharp as hell.

Exceptional Binoculars
Outstanding glass, unbelievable clarity and light transmission, and even though the outer casing is Maven’s low end - great quality, nice nonslip surface. These binos would be a bargain at double the price

My first adult pair
No more training pairs. Every component is first class. Works great, strap is comfortable for viewing position. My narrow beady eyes are well accommodated,.

Great for the money
Awesome binos for the money. Don’t expect it to compete with Swarovski or the maven B series but it definitely gets the job done. Ultimately decided to return them and go with the Maven b5. I don’t believe you can find a better set of 15x56 for your money than these. I love the aluminum focus knob. They definitely feel quality in the hand. If your currently not running top tier glass than you will probably love these.
