The interior is insulated and can hold up to 24 aluminum cans. Any cold packs placed inside will stay at temperature much longer with the zippered top closed. We highly suggest you use cold packs instead of ice because as the ice melts it condensates and makes it seem like the tote is leaking. Hope this helped!
