I had the orange one from Amazon and it has auto-on so it was constantly dying.It’s a good size to keep in the drawer and fits in the hand. It was easy to clean, had no problems there.We use it a lot for chicken, and the accuracy hasn’t failed us yet.It’s plastic, but it doesn’t need to be anything else for what it is! Easy to read, annoying that it won’t tune on when you open the probe, you need to push the button. Easy to use and accurate. Only used it a couple times, but better than other products so far

I really like this particular meat thermometer. Extremely accurate, is ready to go when you turn it on. I like very much the magnet on the back so you can put it on your refrigerator or someplace metal that you can have it out there in front of you and I've enjoyed it. This one I would recommend to anyone.
