Great Movie

Good comedy movie

as always, the writing is what makes the movie bad. It has potential and some good actors but the writers are either bad or there is a lot messed up in the postproduction. Neither is good.The Jeff character is extremely annoying. Not in a good way that would contribute to the story. Just annoying.

I've said it before and will say it again: Jon Hamm is W-A-Y under-used. He is one of the most versatile actors, incredibly handsome with a load of natural charisma and can slide into any character carrying any emotional scene with credibility. He really brought it home in this film. He's Mr. Cool, a little of Bond going on and has perfect timing with humor, all while being one sexy dude.The all-American suburban couple living on a culdesac, USA, become twitter-pated and suspicious when a fresh, smart, perfectly beautiful couple move into a house across the street. The home is bought sight-unseen----cash----which makes the nervous neighbors wary. And so, between snoopy neighbors and cool-headed neighbors, let the fun begin. Everybody plays their roles well. The incredibly gorgeous couple, Hamm and Gadot, never loose their cool---and Jon has incredible delivery of quiet humor throughout the movie, which adds a most pleasing balance to the high-speed car chases. It's a spy story like none other. Soooo much fun to watch! Greg Mottola did an excellent job of directing this movie and brought out the best of each actor. Lots of shooting, car chases, accidents but nothing graphic, mixed with fun antics and mishaps; tight spots and escapes. Great ending! One wild and crazy almost-sex scene (no clothes came off) that isn't offensive but just by nature isn't for kids. One F word but the most offensive thing is the profanity that is sprinkled (not saturated) from beginning to end (meaning the use of God and Jesus----the language of choice in this film it seems).For Hamm's and Gabot's portrayal of the undercover spies (they were the good guys), 10 stars. All the others were a definite 5 stars. Taking a star away for the language, really wanted to take away 2 or 3 but the movie was so entertaining I decided to be generous. Would LOVE to see more of Jon Hamm (period) and Gabot teaming up together in the future. They're really charismatic together---perfect chemistry.

Arrived in a couple of days and really pleased

C'est un petit film juste bon pour faire passer une soirée. Dommage, car le scénario a un bon potentiel, mais ils n'en ont pas profité. Les deux actrices sortent du lot (Gal Gadot et Isla Fisher quand même !), les hommes sont transparents…

Film sympa et drôle on ne s'y marre pas à gorge déployer mais cela reste rigolo. Le plus se sont les acteurs j'adore Gal Gadot et Isla Fisher !

A very amusing film about an ordinary suburban couple who discover that the impossibly glamorous couple who have moved in across the road from them are actually spies. Of course the ordinary couple find themselves getting caught up in the world of spying, and find they are not quite as ordinary as they thought they were. There are some very funny moments in this film (the part in the Chinese restaurant in particular), and plenty of excitement, car chases etc as well, as you would expect in a spy film. I liked all four of the main characters, and the genuine friendship that develops between them is rather touching. Highly enjoyable.

I like this film - mostly because it stars Gal Gadot (aka Wonder Woman) you get to see her in her undies - and that in itself is reason enough to watch this film.However, that aside, it is actually a fun film, and very enjoyable to watch. But it also highlights how much we sometimes do or don't know about our neighbours and why sometimes - it's better not to know.
