If your speaker has the 3.5mm Mic-In, it will work. If the jack is an AUX-In it may not work properly due to the different requirements of the impedance. This would enable the transmitter unit to be mounted other than on the trumpet bell.** A: The overall length of the microphone attachment is 6", with the flexible gooseneck portion just less than 3". To extend it would require either an aftermarket adaptor if available (doubtful), or mechanically and electronically splicing in an additional extender. I'm sure it's possible, but it would require technical skill and ability. **Q: I'm having an issue with the Mic and receiver charging. Is that a battery issue? I had difficult time getting to recharge once, but now nothing.** A: I find the best way to charge the battery is to not turn it on while charging. I did get to a gig once and found a dead battery. I think I accidentally turned it on before packing the mic the day before. I play on theater-sized stages and needed a mic that could transmit over a large area. This mic does the job well and at a very reasonable price. The mic sounds great and, after running it through multiple soundboards, I am very satisfied with the sound reproduction. I have no need of the EQ and Echo because I run it directly into a Harmonizer pedal with its own EQ, Delay, and Reverb. The receiver always recognizes the mic when turning both on. I actually use the USB cord to plug the receiver into a outlet so it stays charged and I don't have to worry about the battery. Both units have on/off switches. The convenience of not having a stand-alone receiver taking up stage and case space is wonderful as well. All in all, I am very satisfied with this product. ********************************************************************************************************************** TWO YEARS LATER: Two years and many theater shows later, the whole set-up works perfectly.There have been ZERO drop-outs on a large stages and rehearsal rooms. I've even walked out into the audience and up the aisles playing the sax with NO mic problems whatsoever (the mic and the receiver always immediately pair up and I've never once had to change the signal frequency).
