Solution required for accurately and easily rewinding spools
The Black & Decker DF-080 Dual-Line .080 inch Replacement Spools Worked Perfectly!!When I first bought my GRASSHOG XP I had some difficulty in rewinding the spool with .080 inch nylon Trimmer Line. Rewinding a spool accurately is difficult and requires skill and experience. Despite my best efforts I was never able to rewind the spool accurately and as a result the trimmer line often snagged from time to time forcing me to open up the housing to make adjustmnts to get it going again.I believe many of your customers are having the same problem I have experienced. Though the machine is an excellent machine particularly with the automatic trimmer line feed feature many of your customers may decide as a result of the difficulty in rewinding spools to discard it and go for another make of machine instead of purchasing costly replacement spools. I assume your replacement spools are wound by machine. To avoid loss of customers I suggest you should have a video that shows how to manually rewind spools accurately or alternatively develop Drawings for a simple and in-expensive tool for rewinding spools which can be manafactured by yourself for sale to your customers or which can be made by your customers themselves.Best Regards,Christopher Ache'

GH1000 fantastic, line pricey
I just ordered multiple spools of this line cause it is $1.50 less per spool than Lowe's. Be aware if you're going to buy a Black and Decker trimmer.....like printers that are cheap but you get reamed on replacement ink, you really pay for these spools. That being said........I absolutely love my ferocious little Black and Decker GH1000. It may have been made for trimming nice suburban lawns, but it performs great on tough brush work. Invasive shrubs, vines, thickets, brambles, it tears right through. Brush work may eat up more line than lawn trimming, seems I'm always buying more spools. Still I'm saving over hiring outside help, so indulging its appetite for spools is well worth it.

Weed eater model that uses this spool has a lot of bad reviews.
spool does not last long enough. My weed eater has a lot of bad reviews too.

This is the genuine line made by Black and Decyand not a copy of knockoff.
This is the same prestrung brand name double line you get a Home Depot. But the raised their price to $12.99 compared to Amazon's price of about $8.

ROUND Line Works Best !!
The DF-80 Spool with 30 feet of .080-Inch ROUND line is the perfect match for your B&D GrassHog GH1000 !!There are many types/brands of string-trimmer lines -- some of which have irregular shapes, supposedly to make the string cut better -- but the irregularly-shaped lines get jammed in the spool, making it necessary to stop trimming and monkey around with getting the string un-tangled and re-wound on the spool. The B&D Spool has ROUND LINE wound on it, which works much better than any of the odd-shaped lines that I've tried in the past. The B&D DF-80 Spool feeds smoothly and remains tangle-free -- BUT -- only if we avoid trying to edge too close to concrete, stones, and other immovable debris. The string trimmer is made to cut down GRASS and WEEDS -- coming in contact with concrete will tear up the line in a matter of seconds, so it must be avoided as much as possible. If we choose to buy bulk line and wind it ourselves to save big dollars, we MUST be careful to buy ONLY .080, ROUND Line -- and wind it carefully.Good Luck !!

and I live in a mildly cold climate so it's not like the garage heats up and cooks the plastic (
Replaces OEM reel perfectly....just wish it would last LONGER. I bought this reel in Aug 2016 and today 06/22/2017 the reel cracked and no longer would work. I only used about half the line, and I live in a mildly cold climate so it's not like the garage heats up and cooks the plastic (:. Oh well, a reel every 10 mo rather than every two years only adds about $10. Easy installation and hardly any tangling of string, as is usually for the vinyl line, it wears faster when hitting stone, rock, concrete but holds up well when edging clean areas between grass and sidewalk/driveway.I include two pics after I removed the line, half the reel housing fell apart within a few seconds, and the rest fell apart as I was pulling out the line I hope to re-use.
