My parents recommended this vitamin to me to fight macular degeneration. I have been using PreserVision consistently for many years. Since taking my eye sight has remained steady. In one exam, it actually improved. After a certain age, 60 the eyes elongate for a period of time, sometimes ten years and one can experience symptoms similar to those of the retina detaching; however, taking these vitamins mitigates the symptoms, amazingly so. I recommend very highly for those concerned with eye care. Great supplements for improving vision and can effectively minimize mac degenerations symptoms better than anything I've tried on the market. Update - Must make an additional comment. I was diagnosed with Macular Degeneration about 7 years ago. I did not do anything about it, because the doctor said, "don't worry, they will come up with a cure by the time your mac gets aggressive. I only had a wee bit, but it was something "to watch out for") My Dad has it and is blind in one eye. I cannot let that happen so I really have taken these consistently since that exam. Just this last summer, I had the opportunity to go to an ophthalmologist - He said, there is no trace of the Macular degeneration. So the proof is in the pudding. Strongly recommend as a daily supplement.

This Vitamin and ALL it's numerous similar but very different cousins by the same OR very similar names is most confusing to buy. The Ads look like the bottles are the same but when trying to sort through the actual content of the vitamins and minerals in the product itself I discovered that each type IS NOT THE SAME ONE BOTTLE TO THE NEXT. If your Opthalmologist or other eye care professional has recommended a particular brand or type within that brand be sure you really know which one is being recommended and the percent of each of the medications within the tablet that is being recommended. If you have trouble swallowing capsules or tablets be sure you know which one you are buying. After almost two weeks of research I found this tablet was exactly what my Doctor had recommended. Be careful to not buy the overly high content products and then take those with you regular daily supplement of a mulitple vitamins or you may be actually overdosing on SOME of the items in these mulitple vitamin/mineral products which can be dangerous or even defeat the purpose of taking the supplement in the first place. ALL medications are dangerous if taken in too high a dose. Vitamins and minerals also can and do interact with some prescriptions medications so it is important to take only the amount recommended. Also generic items are not necessarily the same as this brand name so again read the lables of each and be sure they are exactly alike before buying. Overall I am very pleased with this product and will buy it again.
