KYB343395 Excel-G Gas Shock

These KYB shocks seem to be a great value for the price. Installation was easy and they improved the ride of my Buick Rainier. Hopefully they will hold up over time.

I've driven with both the stock shocks when new, HD Bilsteins put on two years ago and now these KYBs and by far the KYBs give the best ride. They have greater dampening than the Bilstein sourced OEM Shock, which is by far under dampended during rebound, yet provide a more comliant ride than the Yellow/Blue HD Bilsteins. Maybe not suited for heavy off-roading, but for every day driving a great alternative at half the price.I also installed KYB GR-2 coil-over/struts up front at the same time (331016), excellent ride overall.

every part of these shocks is very light duty. if you are towing or have oversized tires, I'd avoid them.

I brought this for my 05 Envoy when I had it. I put about 10k miles before I traded it in, and it made the SUV handle better in the Alaska snow and ice environment with all the ice ruts and pot holes. It seemed better than the stock ones, but that was probably due to me buying the car used. But I did love the quality of this shock.

Perfect ride quality, soft but firm, handle well on corners and smooth out the road very well. Will definitely buy again!!
