Dr. Frederick's Soft Gel Toe Protector Caps, Trim-to-fit, Washable, 6 ct

I have a growing-by-the-walk blister on my toe. It’s painful, as u might imagine; not excruciatingly painful, but certainly uncomfortable. I have a pair of super comfortable high-end running sneakers, so footwear is not the issue. But I’m walking for a minimum of an hour five times a week. I asked ChatGPT what do about a painful blister on my big toe, and it recommended a gel slip on for my toe. I was not aware of this product. I was using Band-Aid blister band aids, with minimum success. But this gel blister slip on over my big toe is unbelievably great. The gel slip is stretchy material, so it fits on to my big top and is securely in place. Like as long as I have socks on, it doesn’t move. But putting socks on you have to be slow and careful so as to not catch the gel slip on. Today, I walked for an hour and fifteen minutes and I was wearing my gel slip on. I had absolutely no pain whatsoever. It was wonderful. I honestly cannot recommend these gel toe slip ons enough. My only concern is if perhaps a woman with smaller toes might not have such a nice snug fit. I’m not sure. I have a normal size toe, I think? But I’m 6’2” and have size 11.5 sneaker size, so that might be a factor worth considering. Otherwise, the protective padding these gel slip ons provide, it’s a game changer (argh, so overused phrase!), but true in my case. I would say woman or man, try these out. If u have a good fit on whatever toe is the problem, you will be golden and so much happier. I hope this is a helpful review. Good luck! Update: I want to add that I found my big toe with the gel slip on it needs its exposure to air. At the very least, make sure you take off the slip on at night while you sleep.

OK I was extremely skeptical of this product at first. Too good to be true, isn't it? I've had thick, ugly and painful calluses on the outsides of my big toes for a decade or more, despite trying different types of shoes and supportive inserts. I believe this is due to how my feet turn inward when walking, the big toe being compressed in the process. So how can a relatively cheap solution like this bring me relief? After owning a set of these caps for three months and using them almost daily, I am finally able to deliver a verdict. They work! Not for everyone, nor for every conceivable toe problem (they seem a bit oversold), but they are close to a miracle for me. The callused areas are growing thinner and softer, making my feet more attractive, but more importantly, eliminating the pain. I have also begun using a pumice stone weekly to gently exfoliate the remaining calluses. This was not possible in the past, as I discovered -- the calluses simply reformed next time I wore shoes. If you've had calluses like these, you know what I mean. The skin just becomes thicker and tougher, causing it to rub more against your shoes (or the ground), and unlike a typical blister, there is pain "under" the callus that doesn't go away after a day or two. Running or walking for long periods of time exacerbates this. I will say the caps don't have enough cushion to completely eliminate friction during long walks and runs, but it is a significant improvement. I'm experimenting with using body glide products and different types of socks. You might need to apply some particularly around where the gel cap ends, to prevent it rubbing against the underside of your toe and creating a new problem there. You might also need body glide on your second toes where they would rub against the big toe caps, as that can also become callused. One other issue is that because these are essentially rubber, they prevent your toes from "breathing", which can trap moisture, leading to odors and probably other issues. I've found that using a foot powder helps, not only the big toes but the entire foot, so I recommend that in combination.

Feels natural and doesn't pinch, or too tight.

I fell up my stairs the other day by snagging my toe in the carpet, and the toenail bent back too far, cracked, and partly broke off. This thing fits like a glove and works like a glove, so super easy to use. It protected my toe while it healed. It is very soft and comfortable. Three recommendations: if you sleep in it, wear a sock, the silicone material sticks to the sheets. Second, take it off occasionally and let your toe get some air, it’s air tight and retains moisture, so your toe will get stinky and pruny if you leave it on too long. And last, it will get stinky, I took mine off in the shower and washed it real well.

I would warn customers that is is nearly impossible to get a sock on as the gel sticks and you have to fold the sock down to it will fit over the toe area.

I am a classical guitarist with tendinitis and collateral ligament strain in the DIP joint of my left pinky. The recovery from this has been long and frustrating. I started using one of these silicon sleeves on the pinky at night at the recommendation of a physical therapist. I was skeptical at first, but after a few nights I noticed that my tendons and ligaments were less stiff in the mornings and the improvement in motion without pain finally seemed to be cumulative, instead of the the 2 steps forward, 1 step back progress I had been used to. Apparently, the silicon sleeve simply keeps the joint warm overnight and this encourages blood flow and healing. If you are a string musician, I sincerely hope you never develop any of these injuries. It is frustrating beyond belief. But these little silicon sleeves do seem to make a difference in recovery time.

The product fully covers the toe and minimizes friction between toe and shoe, comfortably. The toe cover remains properly positioned throughout the day's movement.

I like them but I still felt slight pressure and pain from my shoes. I wish there was an actual layer of pain relieving gel in the cushion. Maybe medicated.

arrived very quickly and so far excellent - had to cover 4 toes with blisters and damage and was able to walk without limping or pain with open toes shoes - can heartily recommend! So easy to stretch to fit over plasters/big toes etc and comfy to wear

J’ai deux petits doigts crochus, un de chaque pied. Ils ont commencé à me faire très mal en marchant. J’avais l’impression de porter des chaussures trop petites, le bout du doigt écrasé, mais même pieds nus c’était la même chose. Il faut dire que j’ai acheté ces capuchons sans grand espoir, mais miracle! Plus de douleur. Ils sont facile à mettre, et restent bien en place pendant la journée. En plus ils ont l’air très discret, on ne les voit guère. Après lavage le gel me semble un peu collant, peut-être j’y mettrai du talc pour faciliter la mise en place.

Ho acquistato questi cappucci nella speranza di non dover utilizzare sempre i cerotti per proteggere un dito che, nella scarpa, continua a sfregare. Li utilizzo generalmente quando corro, in modo da evitare lo sfregamento un po' intensivo. Sono molto comodi da indossare, praticamente non si sentono, non danno alcun fastidio, si sciacquano con un po' di sapone e ....ho trovato dunque la soluzione. Evito il formarsi di bozzoli sulle dita. Penso che potrebbero costare anche meno, ma non avendo trovato altro sul mercato, direi che la proporzione qualità prezzo ci sta. Inoltre essendocene sei pezzi, si ha una buona scorta. Consegna avvenuta nei tempi.
