First off, this does what it says on the box. It's a good cover for a counter hob and doesn't cause the buttons to go off when it's laid over them. I can't comment on whether its fire proof or not because I wouldn't recommend putting on top of a hot plate anyway! However, I find it is an absolute pain to clean! The rubber is quite sticky and always looks dirty. Even when I clean it, the dirt doesn't go away properly, and dust is so visible on it. I've since stopped using it.

This cover is just the right size for our hob. It has a not stick facility which I have to remember about as nothing slides on it. It protects the glass hob very well.

Easy to use, covers the hob nicely, good value for money.

Looks smart, doesn’t slide around, allows you to use the hobs as another surface if you need to.

I saw this on my Facebook feed and was truly intrigued. We have a small kitchen and next to no counter space so our ceramic stove top often became a place to make lunches and prep food. I read reviews about the sticky surface being a magnet for dust and pet hair - but I wanted to try it out. As we were placing the matt on the stovetop, we put the product with the sticky - logo side DOWN, and it is just perfect! It adheres to the stovetop and the matt finish of the bottom (which is then exposed) doesn't attract dust/dirt/pet hair and is super easy to keep clean. It's more than I expected.

We just bought a new smooth top range, and needed protection. So this is the cover we chose. It's a bit thin too me, but it serves it purpose. I'm sure we will really appreciate it when we don't have scratches show up. Not really sure about the heat resistance? Really not planning on finding out.

This works great on my new stove top. It’s a little difficult to clean but only because it’s black and shows everything. Overall I love it and would purchase again.

It doesn’t flatten out completely but it does fit on the top to protect it and it looks pretty good

Love this mat. It’s sturdy, rolls up easily, wipes clean with a damp paper towel. When stove is not in use, the mat allows the area to be like extra counter space. Prior to getting this mat, I had two glass-like covers, and hated them. Always had to find a place to lay them when I wanted to use stove. This mat just rolls up and you can put it anywhere.
