Works great

I'm very happy with my purchase. The screen's colors are sharp and vivid, the computer boots quickly and the backlit keyboard is a must. Still learning Windows 11, but overall I'm happy. This purchase replaces an extremely old Asus Notebook. Lots of updates, but that is to be expected.

This little computer was a pleasant surprise to this 30+ years in computing retiree! My wife and I are MacBook Pro users for a long time now but my wife’s favorite publishing software (MS Publisher) doesn’t run on Macs so we looked for something that would be inexpensive but have the features we wanted on the MS Windows side of the world. It’s tight, the keyboard has a responsive touch, it’s fast, and has a backlit keyboard-a must! Great little machine so far. If it continues to impress, the star count increases.

Speedy with 20GB of RAM, backlit keyboard is a great feature for working late without the need for surgical grade lighting! Up and running in no time!Just need to get used to Windows 11.Hopefully will get several years of use from this one!

This machine is advertised as having Windows 11. Mine came with Windows 10.This machine is advertised as having an AMD Ryzen processor. Mine has an Intel Core I3.It has a backlit keyboard (as advertised) but not a touchpad that doubles as a numerical keypad (which is easy to get confused about in the conflicting product descriptions).These are not deal-breakers for me, so I am keeping the machine. But I am giving it 1 star to warn people for whom this is a concern.UPDATE: More bad news. When I contacted ASUS to tell them of my purchase in order to get the 2-year warranty, they informed me that the warranty had expired slightly more than two years ago. What a coincidence! See the attached screenshot.UPDATE #2: The people at ASUS tell me that two years ago, someone else registered the computer that Amazon sold me as "new." This explains why it came with Windows 10 rather than Windows 11. But the box seemed unopened and the computer seemed unused. So someone apparently bought it two years ago and registered it without opening the box, and then somehow got it into Amazon's inventory. Very strange! And kind of disturbing.

Slow shipping but as advertised

I got this laptop to complete my studies. It is working well so far.I am not a tech person but I'm happy with what I got for my money.Update: The laptop still works well but it can only give about three to four hours after a full charge. That is disappointing.Update: Yet another disappointment. The camera does not work now. I messaged the seller and I am still awaiting a response. This is a problem because it is causing problems for me in my courses where I have to do live video presentations. I will not make that mistake again. DISAPPOINTING!!!!
