Impressive little device!
Finally got to use this little chain saw and I have to say that I am impressed so far! It worked much better than I expected for the price. I started off by cutting smaller branches and after a few minutes found myself attempting larger and larger branches. I was impressed when I attempted to cut a few branches off of the bottom of my pine tree, about 2-1/2 to 3 inches in diameter and it cut with ease! The saw itself is not heavy and I felt very safe using it. I will say that I am thankful that it comes with two rechargeable batteries as the battery went from four bars to three fairly quickly, but I was able to get a decent number of branches cut before that. I do not know how long I can use it for before it needs a battery change, but nevertheless, its an impressive little device!

Love this tool!!!
Received item with 3/4 charge on both batteries. I had a bush that had partially died and was looking pathetic - I had cut it pretty much down with a branch trimmer but was left with about a 3" stump about a foot high - an accident waiting for someone to trip over and fall. To call anyone to have cut this stump down would have been more than the cost of this tool. Anyway, I ordered this and it included the chainsaw, two batteries, a charger, two chains, tools for disassembly/reassembly, safety gloves, and instructions. Instructions were easy to follow - used tools to tighten the assembly. After batteries charged, I attached one to the saw and tested it - solid response. I put on a pair of safety glasses, my gloves, and took my new chainsaw to the stump - the stump is now cut level to the ground - it took less than two minutes - it has now already paid for itself. This will be great for cutting small pieces of wood for campfires, etc. - it feels substantial and not like a toy. With that said, please be very careful using it - and follow safety instructions. Love, love, love this item!!!

Not very durable, but does a great job!
This is my second chain saw like this. I'm assuming it's the same manufacturer. These saws are amazing. I have a 20" Echo and love it but it's bulky and requires maintenance. This battery operated saw is great for smaller projects and is unbelievably easy and efficient to use. Works great! That's the good part. The bad part, the first one didn't last very long. About 11 months. Had some kind of electrical problem and would operate sporadically. But since these items are so well priced I feel like I got my money's worth. So, I got another one. We'll see how long this one lasts.

My husband love it
A friend recommended this mini chainsaw and got it for my husband to use. He is handicap and uses a mobility scooter to do things outside. He love that it is so easy to use and very handy for trimming some of the branches of bushes around the yard. Great gift idea.

Light, easy to use
This turned out to be much better than I anticipated. I've so far cut 60-70 oak and privet trees that range between 2 and 4 inches. You do need to wear safety glasses, make sure the chain stays adjusted for proper tension and keep the chain oiled (like any chainsaw). Battery life is good and its light weight is a real plus. I remove it when not cutting for safety. Much faster and easier to use than loppers.I do feel it should include a chain bar guard for improved safety. I've ordered one of these (and a belt hanger). The lock switch works as intended, but chainsaws are inherently dangerous tools. The only visible wear so far is the very end of the plastic top of the bar cover is breaking.Update: Have now cut a couple hundred large oak branches and small oak trees. Same blade so far and no problems with battery life. Light and convenient, especially with a belt hanger.

dangerously fun
we had some terrible storms and 2 trees were knocked down in our yard. My sister sent me a link and recommended this. the seller got it to me the very next day. I didn't realize it came with 2 batteries and I used one to cut up both trees! Then I wanted to keep going with other trees growing up that were in the way of yard work. the battery finally died. I went to charge it and realized there was another battery! It was ready to use also. It is a perfect size and super easy! [54 yo female =) ]

Goodbye Lopper!
When it comes to pruning my trees, or breaking down smaller limbs the lopper was the way to go. Anything bigger than 1" in diameter will need to be hit with the chainsaw. Not anymore! I waited about two months to put this thing to use, and thank goodness it not only worked well, but exceeded my expectations. I was able to break down a fallen limb in about a quarter of the time and effort that it would have taken me with a lopper and chainsaw. Was going to use these to break firewood into smaller pieces if needed, but this will probably become one of the more frequently used tool during this winter. This set came with two batteries and a lot more. Now... I am curious how it's going to hold up since there's no place to add chain oil instead of on the chain itself...

Why 5 stars? Because there aren't 6
Even if you have a chain saw, you need this. This is perfect for cutting the small limbs off a tree before you need your big chain saw to cut the main part. Yes you could use a chain saw but to be able to use this with one hand while you are pulling the cut limbs off with the other. I have cut a lot of limbs with this thing and it keeps going. Reviews for other products complain about no case, no battery limits or notice when the battery is charged. This comes in a nice little case, battery level on the battery, and a nice green LED on the charger when the battery is charged. I have never carved anything, but this thing have been great to chip away at the log. I was terrible when trying to use the chain saw and did a terrible job. I wish I could have a little more battery life or the ability to buy more batteries. That would be the only thing I could say bad about this.
