The difference is amazing!
I wish I'd known about these years ago, I could've saved myself a lot of wasted time and money. I had already known that the trees, all pin oaks, needed iron. All 3 trees were affected differently yet all 3 were planted in 1997 and weren't more that 75 feet apart planted in my back/side yard. One tree started turning yellow years ago, about 2010. All 3 would bloom normally, leaves would start to grow, but as early as mid May one tree's leaves would start to turn yellow. By June most of the leaves would be yellow/brown and by July the tree would look like it would in fall, October, ready to drop all its leaves. The second tree was affected less, just spots here and there on the tree, maybe only 40%. The third tree, in my side yard, was literally two toned starting in May. Actually, it had 3 different shades; one third lighter green/yellow, one third just a slight yellow tinge and one third normal dark green. I read all I could about feeding the trees, even going so far as drilling 1/2" holes in the GROUND around each tree and pouring an iron rich solution into the holes. That did nothing, I thought they were just going to slowly die. The lower branches on all the trees would be dead the following year. Not sure how I stumbled upon the Medcap capsules but I figured that since I'd tried everything else I had nothing to lose.I was, naturally, leary about drilling a dozen holes into each tree but I knew if I used a nice sharp bit, took my time and made sure I didn't drill into the tree too far I should be OK. I drilled into all 3 trees near the end of March this year, installed the capsules, and waited. Naturally you won't see anything right away but by the end of May I knew it was working. No yellow or brown anywhere on any of the trees! I kept waiting, thinking that al least a few of the branches would turn yellow but it never happened. This is the first year I've tried it but so far so good - it looks like my problem has been solved.A couple of things; if you look at the pictures I posted, the tree that's pictured is in my side yard. The 'before' pic is from October, 2019. The 'after' pic is from September 19, 2020. I didn't realize it at first, but the brown fur ball in the grass in both pictures is my dog Maxie. The other picture is of a trunk that's weeping a bit after having the capsules installed. This is normal but I think you may be able to minumize the weeping somewhat by drilling the holes at a very slight downward angle, maybe only 5 degrees or so. Also, I've noticed that if you drill the holes just slightly deeper the hole won't weep as much. The thing is, you have to get below the bark so if you drill 1/8" deeper it's better than drilling 1/8" too shallow.Anyway, hope this helps, it certainly did for my trees!

Works for Maples struggling with Chlorosis in Utah
We had tried everything. We put iron in the soil using a deep spike. we had hired a professional tree company to inject directly for $100 a visit yikes!! still our maples were suffering from extreme chlorosis. A friend who is a farmer told us iron binds with the soil and no matter how much we put in the soil the trees cannot access it through their root system.Last spring we installed the pellets into each maple chunk according to the instructions with very little effort. A drill and a mallet is all we needed. Our trees looked great last year and we’re going to do it this weekend and hope for the same results.

NOTE: For Trees With 8+ inch Trunk Diameter!
Why do I have to add product information?!I’m not sure how well these work although I purchased this based on reviews so I’ve given it a midway/meh rating. I’ve tried the soil treatments and those work, but are not always consistent. This seemed like such a better idea. Howev, one very important fact left off the product description is that your trees must have at least an 8” trunk diameter. Well, shoot! I ordered this and then find out. Not helpful, guys. Now I have to return this and go back to soil treatments.

It really worked!
I have a huge birch in my front yard that I love, but over the last couple years it has had issues with small branch ends constantly dropping off. By the beginning of June each year its leaves would begin to yellow and fall. My husband has been threatening to cut it down because it was so sickly. This summer while he was away, I researched the issue, purchased these and put them in in early July. Having read the instructions and reviews, I knew I had to be patient, that any effects might not take place for months or even until next spring. In just two weeks, the leaves stopped falling, there are far fewer branches on the ground, and I have a happy tree and a happy husband! So glad I gave this product a try, I will most likely follow up with another treatment in two years as recommended.

Amazing product
Our large decorative birch tree in the front of our property was turning yellow in the spring. I ordered this product and inserted them exactly the way the instructions call for. To our surprise within two weeks the tree was back green again and it’s now thriving growing better than it ever has. A little difficulty in spacing and drilling holes in spiral pattern but the rewards are well worth the effort and far far below a commercial treatment.
