This unrefined Shea Butter is of lovely quality. It is a nice true ivory color and smells nutty and warm, just of a pure Shea Butter aroma, nothing more and nothing less. It is wonderfully smooth and easy to use. My favorite use for Shea Butter is to use as is, by itself, on my feet and elbows at night. If I don't use Shea Butter on my feet, my poor feet are just too dry for me to sleep. Nothing else works as well. This is thick and rich and stays on my feet all night. If you are one who can wear socks, do so to keep your sheets pretty, but I can't, so it does get on the sheet. I am okay with that. Sleep is worth it. This is a lovely, smooth, creamy Shea Butter. I'm glad I gave it a try. I am very happy with it. I would certainly purchase it again!

This is my first time using Kokum butter. Used to make body butter, lip balm, deodorant,... With Shea butter, sometimes adding cocoa butter or beeswax, and tried mango butter for short time.Shea is greasy with strong smokey smell, so it covers any essential oils scent!This kokum butter is firm, but not hard, with light nutty smell. You must add oil to light it up. I whipped 1/3 cup of it along with 1tsp. of almond oil, and 2tsp. corn starch, +drops of lavender essential oil.It turned out thick not whipped,but it's soft to touch and melt easily on your skin.And smells nice!Happy with it, and excited to try it with other projects!

This she’s butter is really moisturizing to my skin! It melts well and is very smooth. Love it!

I have sensitive skin, and issues with most fragrances, so I've used natural products as my skin care regimen for years. Kokum butter has popped up in some of the recipes, so I wanted to give it a shot. Right out of the package I was pleased with the feel (a tiny bit broken off melts easily in your hands) - less grainy than some other butters, and not at all oily feeling. I haven't even whipped it into a cream recipe yet - all alone it's done a great job of moisturizing and protecting my skin. And yes, it's odor free, which is great for people with sensitivities, but I also think it would be perfect for folks who want to use essential oils in their body products! (The photo isn't great, but it shows how light the butter is on the skin, and the bowl that I store it in - it melts very easily).

This is high-quality shea butter, just what I needed for personal use and creating beauty products.
