Can a man wear these?

I'm a man and I wear them. Gloves do not keep my hands warm and the mittens do so I wear them.

How do you get the chemical/perm smell out of them? Phew!

Is the interior soft? Got them for my elderly mother to keep her hands warm. So, that is the most important inquiry 4 Me

I have 2 pairs but they are different even though it is suppose to be the same mitten - one pair is thicker than the other. The interior of the thicker pair is really soft. The interior of the thinner pair is not as soft. I prefer the thicker pair but both pairs are warm.

Are these thin enough to fit under large mittens as a liner?

These are reasonably thick. I wouldn't call them thin. Whether they will comfortably fit under larger mittens depends on how roomy the larger mittens are.
