He is a respected lecturer and electrifying workshop leader who has captivated audiences worldwide since first sharing his principles in 1979. Ellis got started in education in 1976, when he taught junior high school math. After getting a master's degree in mathematics, he taught computer science for six years at National American University, where he became Assistant Dean of Student Services. Kindle Edition Needs Page numbers for class
I am very disappointed in the kindle version of this textbook. This is the first textbook I have tried using my kindle fire hd and I will not get another textbook until this problem is fixed. During class our instructor will assign pages to read and activities to do and there is no way to know what page you are on using the kindle. Locations are fine for normal reading, but textbooks require actual page numbers. I am going to try and contact amazon for a refund so I can actually get the physical book for class. Considering how far technology has come I never would have expected something as simple as page numbers to be left out of a textbook.

A must have if you are a beginning student or an older student going back
This book has many good ideas in it. Some are just common sense but perhaps just to remind you of what you already know. It discusses time management, budgeting, non procrastination techniques as well as diagnostic tools to show you what type of learner you are i.e. acoustic, visual, or hands on. This has been very helpful for my College Survival Class at Gwinnett Technical College. I would advise getting this for all students new or not. It may renew old habits you need OR instill new habits you will need.

I needed this book for school. i got it and the was no writing in it but alott of highlighting. thank got the highlighterwas faiding. i bought it used and it was to be exspected, but every letter of every page was highlighted.

Easy to use as a guide to keep
Easy to use as a guide to keep you focused on what techniques you need to be a Master Student. I would buy this book and plan on keeping it as a reference. Price was good also.

Most of the material seems to be common sense, but it was required at my college for the freshman class. Everywhere was sold out but Amazon!
