Q: Will this fit the kreg rip cut / accu cut base?

Just have to give it a try. It seems to be a normal size circular saw

Q: Does this saw really weigh 16.22 pounds, as listed in the technical specifications? That is twice the weight of my previous saw.

First the caveats, 1. my saw was purchased as a different brand before they became "Metabo", probably the same saw.. but who knows. 2. Unsure of the accuracy of my scale. I put the carry bag with the saw inside on my scale and it showed right about 15lbs.
