Find the Girl: An utterly addictive and unputdownable crime thriller (Detective Morgan Brookes Book 5)

Loved this one, full of crossed signals, crossed wires and bluff and double bluff! Great writing, great read. Onward then Morgan Brookes!!!

I enjoyed this story and I really like the characters and find them relatable however I felt It was a bit slower paced than the previous ones in this series so I felt it deserved a slightly less rating. Otherwise it was still a good read.

The story was brilliant from beginning to end. Kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters are all interesting. Can't wait to read next in the series!

With a local man, described as one of the UK's most wanted, on the run since escaping from prison she has to wonder if he is responsible for the horrendous crime or is instead a dangerous distraction. As it becomes clear their victim, if still alive, is definitely living on borrowed time, nerves fray and both the kidnapper and investigating officers find themselves desperately trying to achieve their differing goals.This brilliant series by author Helen Phifer started with a bang and now on book five shows no sign of letting up. The action starts on page one and doesn't ever slow down. There are twists, turns, and surprises galore which move the story towards a very satisfying but totally unexpected conclusion which I loved.Morgan is a great main protagonist as are boss Ben Matthews, colleagues Amy, Des, and Declan and the other familiar faces. The new characters this time around were also excellent with a special mention for the female campsite owner who was great. After five books this series hasn't lost any of its class and will, I hope, continue for a long time yet.I was able to read an advanced copy of this book thanks to NetGalley and the publishers but the opinions expressed are my own. This is already a serious contender for a top book of 2022 and is highly recommended.

I was hooked from start to finish with Morgan Brookes, a police detective in the Lake District. 'Find the girl' is the 5th book in the series and set in an area the I love to visit, Keswick being one of my favourite towns.I have enjoyed every one of Helen's books and I always look forward to reading her latest.This story sees Morgan risking being hurt again whilst in pursuit ofanother killer. She has a great respect for her boss, Ben, and apart from them working closely together, she certainly has a soft spot for him.Unfortunately, they don't always see eye to eye when Morgan always puts herself in danger when she is in determined to catch the killer.This is another great book from the wonderful Helen and look forward to many more.

And Helen Phifer has done it again! ❤️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 star!I was very emotional at the end of this book, what a beautiful twist of fate! ❤️Ben has grown more attractive from his towel scene haha! 😋5 stars for this read Helen, you really went above and beyond in this book and you had me guessing till the very last minute! - especially the end scene.. 👀So excited for the next book as I can tell, Morgans adventures are just getting started! I love all the characters and I will miss a certain character 😢Roll on book 6 👍👏

this author keeps you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. I am really enjoying the series of books.

Another well-written Morgan Brookes novel. I recommend it.

It was so intense that I couldn't be left alone at night. I couldn't stop reading it. It has a great ending.The Brookes series leaves you wanting more. They are so realistic, as if it can happen in your own home.I am looking forward to the next book.

No spoilers here, but I cannot believe what I just read. Just when you think you have it figured out, nope, wrong! I am starting to realize Morgan is always going to find herself in the middle of every bad situation but she always comes out on top! Another amazing read! Here I should have been in bed and I could not put it down. Next book on the list for tomorrow!
