Product looked good till I tried to clean it. With alchole, completely failed. Ruined hours worth of work. **Q: Is this product water proof? Would this appropiate for leather boots?** A: After letting it dry for a full 24 hours water beaded right off. Now I wouldn’t go submerging what ever you are painting, but the rain did bead off nicely with no water damage. Even after it was thoroughly dry, the paint was super tacky. I decided to use this sealer since it was the closest thing I could find for faux leather, even though it's meant for real leather. I considered Mod Podge but thought I'd spring for the "real" stuff.It went on smoothly with an ordinary foam brush and left very little (if any) streaking. It lightened the color *ever* so slightly but the difference is minimal. More importantly, there was NO tackiness to the paintThe first picture is before applying the sealer and the 2nd one is after.
