This was only a few dollars higher in price than the non-assembled box springs. Absolutely worth it! Came in a padded box. Cover is already on it, just open it up, place it and you are DONE.Even has label to tell you which side is up. Well constructed. No squeaks at all.Highly recommend.

I bought the Zinus metal box spring, along with a memory foam bed-in-a-box mattress, to replace a traditional mattress and box spring on an old wood-frame full size slat bed. The traditional set was much, much too heavy for the wood frame, and the side rails were starting to warp, the slats falling out frequently. The Zinus has actually stabilized the bed frame so I don't have those issues any more! It's quite rigid, acts more like a platform than a box spring, and works very well as a foundation for the memory foam mattress. The new combination is light enough that I can easily lift it to adjust the slats if they start to slip out of place.Assembly was easy, if a little awkward. I was doing this by myself, in a small room, so it took some maneuvering to get the Zinus out of its box, unfolded, flipped over, and set on the bed frame (when you unfold it out of the box, it ends up bottom up.) Really not difficult at all.I find the new configuration very comfortable; I've slept on it every night for about two months. The Zinus is quite rigid, as I said, but the memory foam mattress has enough "give" in it so I don't notice it. I haven't had any problems with the Zinus squeaking, and I checked after a month or so and didn't see any wires or metal pieces coming out of the cover or damaging my mattress. Absolutely perfect for what I needed.

I just spent my first evening sleeping on this box spring. I want to provide a review because I am so impressed.First, this is a good that is well packaged. A lot of thought seems to have gone into how to make the package the smallest possible size, simple to move, simple to use, and overall well protected. I imagine that if someone believes they will move often then this is the absolute perfect box spring.I would like to contrast this with my previous "luxury" box spring. I have a California King bed. I purchased it through Hilton's Employee Program and used the box springs for 10 years. The box springs were nice, but large and nearly impossible to move effectively. When I moved internationally and then back to the USA this was a huge hassle. This Zinus 4-inch box spring set (approximately 1/2 the size/height of my previous "luxury" box spring) would be so much simpler to move. I would also like to point out that due to it being only 4 inches, my bed looks "normal" again instead of being slightly over 4 feet tall and difficult to get in/out of.Okay, so when the box is open the Zinus box spring is simple to set up. As in, under 30 seconds/ea. This was awesome. I expected to be screwing things together.Quality: Seems great! I believe these materials will last. It seems to be higher quality materials than the previous mattress box springs I had.Sleep: I slept so well last night! Big change from the previous box spring. I honestly thought box springs were not that big of a deal - it's about the mattress, right? - but this made a difference. My wife and I could tell immediately. Flat bed, comfortable, slept well, easy set-up, easy to move in the future, and we're happy campers! I highly recommend this box spring.

It was the most easy assembly of a box spring I’ve ever had. I’ve previously bought one that I had to assemble. But worth the extra 40 bucks to have it come already pre assembled. All u had to do is take the wrapper off and out of box, cut a few zip ties unfold and put it on bed. Love it. Will definitely buy this kind again if have too

I needed a cheap and easy box spring for my new bed and this is it! its worth the money, easily to assemble, sturdy, and love that it folds!!!! which will come in handy whenever i move to take up less space

I am a 56 year old woman and I was able to set this up all by myself. It was definitely a bit awkward and heavy-ish. It was not the easiest thing to do without a second person helping, but it is doable. The whole process (from box to finished with bedspread back on the bed) was about 20 minutes.There's nothing to it in terms of set up, other than the awkwardness of wrestling it out of the carton (it's kind of heavy), getting your mattress off the bed by yourself, wrestling the box spring onto the bed by yourself and then putting your mattress back on top by yourself. Once you get it out of the carton and you unfold it, the box spring "springs" to life. There is no assembly required other than unfolding it.It is for a guest bedroom so I haven't had any reports yet from guests sleeping on it. It looks sturdy and the perfect height for my platform bed. It has a much more inviting look now and will be easier for older guests to get in and out of the bed now. I didn't want a full height box spring because that would have been too high. This is perfect.I compared this against the least expensive Queen box spring I could have gotten delivered from a local mattress store and I saved over $100.00 overall (once you figure in $59 for white glove delivery, sales tax and the higher price for the box spring). I am very pleased with the purchase! The pictures I have attached show the process from box to finished bed. You can also compare how low my bed looked before versus how nicely elevated it is after adding the box spring.

This is perfect height for my mattress. I don't feel so high on the bed and my dog can climb up her stairs to get next to me! She loves it too! So easy to assemble also.

Box spring exactly as advertised. Having it fold in half when shipped is extremely convenient for delivery into a small area. No assembly required - simply unfold on bed base. Seems to be well made. Very happy with this purchase. Would recommend this to anyone!

The box in which the mattress was delivered was very compact and easily fit up my narrow staircase. It was easy to unbox and set up with two people. Major upgrade from the wooden slats I was previously sleeping on. 5 stars!

I've waited over 3 months before writing this review. We purchased an expensive 18 inch mattress from a local retail store almost two years ago and bought the matching 4 inch bed foundation to fit our existing sleigh bed. While I loved the comfort of the new mattress, I was really bothered by the noise it made every time my husband or I would move.... then to add to my disappointment, after about a year, it felt like the mattress was sagging in the center, despite replacing the cross bed rail supports on on our sleigh bed.... I did some research and found that our foundation actually had box board on top!!!! (For a mattress that cost $3000, the foundation that was sold with it did not meet the quality of the mattress. The wood construction was flimsy as well). Then I found the zinus foundation online, read through the reviews and ordered with reserved expectations. I was very happy and relieved, however! This foundation is of the highest quality- very solidly built, the packaging and workmanship are amazing, and I know it will surpass the life of my expensive mattress. The sagging of our mattress is no longer there (confirming that it was our crappy foundation), and best of all- absolutely no noise! Now, I am finally loving the mattress that was purchased at a brick and mortar and not regretting having spent so much on it! This foundation would also be perfect if we ever decided to move, as compared to a traditional box spring. It folds in half and is very compact. Highly recommended.

Very easy to assemble. Sturdy so far.

I purchased this low profile box spring for my 5-year-old. I didn’t want a tall box spring for safety concerns, and so that she could get up and down herself with ease. I opted for this one (instead of the box spring in a box that you have to build) for convenience and paid the extra money. I must say, worth every extra penny that we didn’t have to build this. It was easy to flip open and stick in the bed frame. It fit, and does its job perfectly so far!
