Possibly better than originals
Nearly identical replacement hinge for my large ottoman. Only 1 screw hole slightly narrower. No problem. They work flawlessly.

Exact Replacement For One That Gave Out
I have a footstool that had one of these on its lid and it fell apart. I was fortunate enough to find these. There were several alternmatives but these looked like the best ones so I bought the pair, even though I only needed one. Perfect fit replacement and works like a charm.

Not very strong the original older version held lid up better.

Weaker than my Grandma's left pinkie toe.
We are handy people. We DIY all the time so it isn't that we didn't know how to install or work this hinge, it is just cheap junk. Will only hold at one small angle, and then only for a short time. Seems more dangerous than not having a support hinge at all. But at this point, we can't return it because we have already installed it and there are drilled holes in our project. We will rig it up and hope it works better than the original.
