Wiha 28581 Bit Holder Adapter For 1/4-Inch Drive Bits

This is absolutely a must-have item for use with the Wiha TorqueVario-S or TorqueFix torque driver handles. It allows the use of standard 1/4" drive bits (like those in the "Wiha 79495 31-Piece Bit Set" or pretty much any removable screwdriver bits you might already have). The Wiha torque handles include only a 4-mm micro bit holder... and if you're like me, you probably don't have a lot of micro bits. Hence, my claim this is a must-have item. The adapter itself is a typical Wiha high quality item. Personally, I own two of these (for two TorqueVario-S handles) and have NOT experienced the overly strong bit retention spring or rattling problems mentioned in other reviews.

Exactly what I needed and expected

This tool is great. Holds my other screw driver tips nicely with the torque screw driver. Now i can open and close hardware with the right amount of torque settings. I recommend this for all electronics technicians especially people in the field of computer maintenance.

I got the socket adapter (28582) and the adapter blade (28581) for my 18-62 in lbs handle ((TorqueVario-S, model 28727). Neither would seat into the handle. I reached out to Wiha and have not heard back yet. Will likely return. Sad because even the Wiha website shows these will fit my handle.
