Are these non toxic? What is the country of origin?

I don't know the country of origin for the glue sticks, but I suspect that like 90% of USA craft products, they come from China. Nevertheless buying thru Amazon is quick, easy and reasonable and I just can't do without glue sticks for the many crafts I make and gift.

what is the lenth of the black glue sticks?

Thanks for asking! The length is 3.93" (10 cm), with diameter 0.43" (1.1cm) fit for full size hot glue gun.

I want to add some crystals/stones-on thin, clear plastic cords-to a silver metal base of a chandelier-Would these hold that weight & attach to metal?

It sounds like a nice idea. Weight is everything though so I would suggest you try a couple before going forward with the project. If you could do a tiny decorative knot and then glue-gun the knot - it might hold well. Give it a try!,
