Purchased theis router for it's WISP capabilities and it performs very well in that setup. BUT, you cannot do the initial configuration using a LAN connection. It was very frustrating since the documentation claims it was possible. My mac connects to the router via the LAN but no matter what browser I tried, the initial setup page did not appear. Used the Tenda documentation on possible causes and none of that worked. The browser tab in Safari actually showed setup page but nothing else was displayed. Began the process to return it when I wondered if connecting wirelessly would work and, volis, there was the startup page in a browser where it didn't work previously. So I hope this helps someone.

5000 sf house with basement, had to replace existing wifi due to lightening. This unit has extra-good coverage but the software is very limited. There is no real "advanced" mode to get into more complicated settings. Good for basics, but tough when trying to set up multiple access points, media QOS, separate passwords for separate bands, etc.
