Horrible hardware
Scuppers themselves are very nice looking but the screws they come with are garbage. Had 2 from each batch break on me and had to go to the hardware store and buy all new screws to replace the broken ones. Also no retaining pin on the actual scupper that keeps it from falling out so it’s a 2 person job to install. Other than that they’re pretty decent so far.

Great product.Great product.
I've had a Carolina skiff for 10 years. The original scupper plates never worked in the boat would take on water when sitting still such as for fishing. I tried several different scupper covers none of which work. Finally, I found the product that did work perfectly. This is a high quality product that works as advertised. I have on several boats and have never had a scupper cover work better. I highly recommend this product.

Did not work as advertised
Installed both items and they didn't work as advertised. Sent both items back in one box but this company is only credited me for one return. Buyer beware! Don't buy from Seaworthy!!!!!!!

Did not solve my problem
I had originally installed a $4.00 scupper valve on the boat. It was plastic and didn't look good or work well. So I upgraded to this $40.00 stainless steel valve instead. It looks much better but only works slightly better. In waves, the stainless flap opens and closes with each rise and fall of the boat. The transom of my boat is not perpendicular with the water, perhaps that is hindering the flap from staying closed like it should.

Not sure if they will stay closed.
The media could not be loaded. I’m working on installing these and the transom of my boat slants backwards at the top and towards the bow at the bottom. This angle holds the flapper door open always unless I’m bow down in rolling waves. Not sure if I can make a wedge to make them perpendicular to the water.

BEWARE!
You have to buy additional sealant to put around the metal ring prior to installing on the boat. There is an internal rubber gasket to keep the flapper sealed but nothing to seal to the actual transom. Makes zero sense why you would screw the metal ring directly to fiberglass/metal/wood without a provided rubber gasket between the 2 material. Not good. Way over priced for a potential faulty product!
