TotalBoat Marine Wood Sealer Varnish Primer

I recently used TotalBoat Wood Sealer on a wood project. I was pleased with the results. The sealer is a very thin varnish that goes on fast and easy. I followed the directions and it gave a great finish. I followed up with a few coats of TotalBoat Lust to produce the finish you see in the attached image. I recommend this product if you are looking for a varnish that goes on fast and easy and gives a great finish.

Great product shipping sucks

This stuff really works. Used it to seal two cedar projects (bar top and picnic table) before the final coat of spar. Used with Gleam or Lust (total boat spar products) it provides an amazing smooth finish. You can apply all the coats an hour apart so you don’t have to sand in between which saves a ton of time. Goes on well with a brush and evens itself out. I will be using more of this in the future.

What to say... I’m not a wood working guy, a boat guys. I can get projects done right when I do the research. I decided to make a table out of some bourbon barrels. I water sealed the barrels, but the tops I wanted to do something that would last. I looked around the net and read, and came across TOTALBOAT. I reached out and I got a response so fast! With directions because I went ahead and made a purchase without inquiring about it first, but then I also got recommendations. It didn’t dry too fast-3hrs, but dried great (los Angeles weather late afternoon Furthermore I ordered the lust and receive the mat by accident to follow this primer however they shipped the wrong one and refunded me the item and shipped me the new one promptly their customer service is amazing

My use of this product is a little unconventional. I did a custom painting for cornhole boards and needed to find a sealant that would have you be protection. And while this sealant is amazing for protecting from the sun and water on the lawn it drastically altered the color of the White board. As seen in the photos it has a yellow brown tint.

So far we love this product. We used on an oak floor in bed of 1971 Elcamino. I am now trying on my window ledges that nothing appears to work very well on. 1 year later and they still look good.

This is a real deal high gloss sealer. Heavy toxic fumes. Follow directions for use. Use a real canister filter mask and a well ventilated or outdoor space. Keep the kids away.

It worked great for our project. We got an old patio table that needed some work and this sealer/varnish worked pretty well. The picture shows the table after the sealer was applied and you can see the previous state on the unfinished chairs.
