Not worth buying
This lamp did not live up to any thing it claimed. It was not tall enough to sit under , it did not get warm let alone hot. The base had to be filled with water and felt cheap.

The base is a major problem.
The lamps are great--thus the four stars--but the base is a near disaster, especially for someone with arthritic hands. The base is an oval container to be filled with water or sand. Right, the water dripped out through a badly drilled foot holder and made a mess. I had to ask a friend to bring me a large bag of sand. It took hours to put it in with a funnel through the very small hole and a lot of shaking to get it distributed through the odd shaped base. The device was still awkward and thus dangerous so I ordered two leg weights and wrapped them around the pole just above the base. It is now solid but I would never put myself through this again.
