This is a great little key pad for gates or doors. Use code or key fob to unlock .

This unit works perfect. These units are not the most secure, but are good for basic entry requirements. Instructions are a little difficult but between the videos and instruction manual not too bad. Would have saved me some frustration to know that a new Master Passcode requires 6 digits...LOL.

The instructions were not in English and difficult to understand even with translate. It took multiple attempts to program the keypad as the translated instructions were unsuccessful. I would not recommend as it is very difficult to program

This thing (a generic K12EM keypad) is reasonably well-made for the price. But the written instructions I got with it were maybe written on another planet, because they don't relate to this unit at all. I wasted two hours trying to get it programmed before I started googling around to figure out the real story. (For example, the manual says the master programming code is set to "123456"....except it's not. It's actually "999999". And so on for all the other specifics, like all the wiring colors being wrong in the manual.) What you WANT to do is search online for "k12em keypad programming pdf" or similar and find the actual instructions for this type of generic unit (the ones I found were from a Chinese site, but were in totally readable English.) Doing that will save you a lot of heartache, believe me. Three stars because it does work and is good for the price. Two stars off for something the vendor could have fixed, easily, by including the right paper instructions. Call me old skool, but I shouldn't have to get product support or watch random videos off the Amazon web page to make a product work, just because the vendor is lazy.

I think this is a great item. I was unable to get it to work because I’m not a good electrician. The seller reached out tried to help me through it. I just didn’t understand it. It’s a great item. I think it’ll work great but I couldn’t get it to work because I’m not good.
